Mr. Atticus Finch [a.cartoon.in.a.ketamine]I love how we always go off-topic. No, I'm serious. I'm not even being sarcastic.
A Batmobile for every 'toon would be nice...though for my cartoon I want my characters to ride around on something really far-out. Like....animatronic dinosaurs. With chrome rims that spin. And all sorts of gizmos phlying (Dang! There's that word again!) out all over the place/ like a ghettofabulous version of Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" vid.

I heard that it was inspired by a beach boys song. Anyone know which one? I'm pretty sure this is factual, since I heard many reviews talk about it.

"Don't Get Lost In Heaven"? I think 2D (or maybe Russel or Noodle...) says something about that in ROTO. He/she was refering to the *scrapes the bottom of the onomatopoeia barrel* 'Pya-pyaiiioo' guitar sounds, saying that 'if sunshine could make a sound, that would be it'. The Beach Boys used that sound in a lot of their songs, so... I guess it could be any.
I dunno. I always felt that "Don't Get Lost In Heaven" was more contributing to the lifting, hopeful tone of the end of the album. Now, I'm no philospher, but "Don't Get Lost In Heaven" reminded me of my current outlook on life. To me, it seems to be saying:
"Look, we've seriously screwed up this world [the first verse], it's just a mess. But that doesn't mean that you can't create wonderful things, or that everything's over. When you think about it, we've actually got everything we could ever want, material wise. THere's unlimited opportunities [hence 'heaven']. You've just got to take the right path ['Don't get lost...'], and not fall into the trap of leading a life which achieves nothing ['Don't fall over the edge, you'll make a big mistake...']."
To me, it's not the sequel to "Fire Coming Out Of A Monkey's Head", but rather the prequel to "Demon Days". Well, anyway. That's my take on it. I think the two last tracks combined are some of the most uplifting songs I've heard in a very, very long time. That's why I love Demon Days - it manages to make statements about important issues... and make them sincere and beautiful. When was the last time we saw that in what is generally called 'popular music', honestly...?

That is a very good question.
And a very good take on the song. I think mine's pretty similiar, but I don't generally think in words, so it's a little hard to transfer. lol

Oh, I generally think in moods and scenes (like movie scenes) or in words when I'm just... sort of talking to myself, but in my head. But because I've done a lot of writing (seven fanfictions four of which were 50+ chapters long) I find it rather easier than the average person to put my abstract ideas into words. It's just practise, I swear.
