Mmmm! biggrin

It looks like that in Germany too. So you can have it outside of Denmark as well.

I think it is neat that Russia is called like that because of the Swedish people. They traveled all through what is called Russia today and where themselfs called Russ by the people how lived south of Russia.

I'm half Danish 3nodding (my Mormor came from København and my Morfar was from Jylland)

My mum makes the best frikadeller in the world (well, in my opinion anyway...but this: talk2hand is what you'll get if you argue with me about it xd ).

We get these big, lovely, jars of Asier pickles every once in a while and she makes them more often (and, of course, I get fat............oh, all right, fatter stare )

...actually, pm me if you know anyone with the last name 'Veggerby' (especially if they happen to be connected to either a Christensen or Bjorndahl family)
.....yeah, family information is somewhat difficult to come by... emo

woah, no one has written here in months O.o...

Anyhow, there's snow here! 8D there's been snow for a month or so.. but know it'll rain away soon..

What is Garmarna? Is this a band?
What are good songs? sweatdrop

I love Danish xd

This is a recent obsession, i go through these phases.

I recently tried to get a Danish penpal, but he and I had nothing in common so...quite a let down.

Has anyone ever ate Smørrebrød? ninja
Is it like a sandwich?

Also, i like Scandinavian music, i get most of mine from www.allscandinavia.com

Garmarna's a folk-rock band from Sweden. They sing in Swedish mainly and their songs are these old stories/tales/ballads from Scandinavia. My least favorite album of theirs is Vittrad, mostly because I don't like the vocals on it though. I like Guds Spelemän and Vedergällningen way better, so those are my two favorite albums of the 3 I've heard. xd The whole Guds Spelemän album is pretty good, except for "Halling från Makedonien" which I just find annoying after a minute or two. -_- From Vedergällningen my favorite tracks are Bläck, Halling Jåron, and Herr Holkin.

I like Danish too, but I need to focus on other langauges right now. stressed

Eh....I've had smörgås, but from what I understand it's pretty much the same thing as smørrebrød anyway. It's like half a sandwhich (one piece of bread and all the stuff on top of it.) I eat them for lunch sometimes or for a snack in the afternoon when I feel like it. They're pretty good. I usually put some type of seafood or meat on it with some vegtables/herbs too. You could make one at home, it's not hard or anything.

Ah okay, i can picture the 'sandwich' now XD

Im watching a movie, well listening to it behind me, but i'll listen to that band a little later and let you know what i think ;D

So far, the only Scandinavian music i've liked was some pop..Like Anna David, Johnny Deluxe, Sys Bjerre...etc x3

I know what you mean about focuing, im trying to crack down on my self taught French and just when i was getting somewhere, Danish came to me xd
