the subject of gays came up wile my sister and i were talking to our cousins and our step cousins wife. they all seemed really supportive of gays and i was suprised and was just about to say im bi when the subject of bisexuals came up and everyone besides my sister and i agreed that all bisexuals are sex crazed sluts and the ones that arent sluts arent really bi.

then they said that most intolorant families probably have gays in their family that are just too afraid to come out. my sister and i found that funny

no loss though, i only see them once a year and my fiance, sister, and dad know and thats all the family support i need heart

I've had similar experiences, though not with family. Many of the guys I have dated assume I'm bi simply because it widens the field or that I'm going to cheat on them with another woman, etc., though I've never received the same response from the women I've dated. To be fair, though, many of the bisexual women I've met in my area already have committed boyfriends and are looking for a woman on the side to mess around with, so I'm not sure who's the odd one out.

That sucks! I guess I'd probably just say "What if, hypothetically, one of us in this room who you love dearly were a bisexual?" If they really cared enough, they'd think about that for a while, unless they were cowards who just wanted to act tough, but hopefully that is not the case.

eh, i dont care too much. they do alot of stuff that bugs me so thinking im a slut because of my orientation is the least of my worries. it would be nice if they were accepting but even thoguh they arent life will go on and im still happy with who i am

Sorry for that Shanna, I hope everything gets better soon! One day they'll understand that you're happier this way. And I don't believe that all bisexuals are sex crazed sluts, they're some bi people that aren't and others that are, I think it is wrong to generalize.

Hey, just curious, but is your fiancee a man or a woman?

That sucks about your family. Dx I'm sure if they knew that you were bi they would see Bisexuals in another light. ^^; But it doesn't matter anyway since you don't seem upset. Like you said, as long as you're fiance and best friends/family know then that's all that matters. So enlightening! xDDD
