Personality: Kilpa is a warm and sweet girl, who acts like she is always friendly and charming. She is also the type that talks to others, especially if she senses them being left out around her. Because of this, she makes friends easily though it also makes her very hard to make mad. Though if you try to act like she is weak and cannot do stuff for herself, this girl will become bitter and mad. She does not like others acting like her body’s weakness makes her weak because it does not really make her weak. In her mind, her body may be weak, but her stubbornness and will power is stronger than her body. Kilpa is also a nut for music and songs; this is why she became a Harper apprentice.
History: Kilpa was born the sickly child of seven with one father in the grave and a stepfather on his way to it. She was born sickly and weak, but she had a sharp mind from childhood. During her childhood, Kilpa’s mother kept her inside out of worry for her youngest daughter’s health, leaving the child without a chance to socialize with other children. Her older siblings were often jealous about the attention her mother would give her and when they were around, often made fun of her for her acting like a baby. Kilpa’s stepfather was a Harper and went to Ista weyr, taking Kilpa with him to raise her. That was because he was worried her mother would make it so her daughter wouldn’t even be able to make a life. So he left her mother to teach at the Harper hall of Ista weyr with Kilpa. Kilpa was apprenticed at eleven because of her love of music and her ability to understand the notes.
However her body grew weak easily, so she could not handle the same chores as the other harpers and usually spent time in the healer halls after overworking herself. Kilpa minded that until she met T’rel while he was a candidate. Then she enjoyed being around him and became friends with him. After T’rel impressed, one of the masterhealers, Talon told her that the healer halls at the hold would be able to care for her condition better than the weyr could. Kilpa had gotten really weak then and could not even get of bed. So she left the weyr for the Hold with a promise to visit the weyr when she was strong enough to do so.
Talents: Kilpa is an expert with the flute and can make out the notes in many songs she hears.
Notes: Kilpa is delicate with a thin body, pale skin that usually has pallor to it when she’s feeling weak, long black hair usually pulled back away from her face. Her eyes are green with long lashes and slightly full lips that are usually curled into a smirk or a warm smile. She is 5’4 with wiry arms and long fingers used to strings. She usually wears a tunic and pants with boots, not being one for dresses and skirts.
