Hey, I'm Broken, I'm 17 (about to graduate high school) and I'm bi. The tough thing is, my mom doesn't know. She's a pretty strict Christian, and I only say that because she's the type that believes that being homosexual is a complete sin or whatever. I don't know how to tell her about my sexuality. What are your opinions?

If you're prepared for what could be the worst and you think you can handle it, sure go for it. But there's no pressure for you to come out. When you feel comfortable coming out, then do it. But if you're not comfortable, I would say that you shouldn't come out.

I'm lesbian and my parents don't know that I am and I am planning to tell them once I have my own house with my girlfriend and then I'll tell them so I don't get thrown out of the house that I live in right now.

In the words of Alan Rickman...
"If people want to know who I am, it is all in the work."
"I've never been able to plan my life. I just lurch from indecision to indecision."

Your situation is understandable, but you shouldn't come out until you are financially independent of them. You're still young, so they have a lot of things they can still do to you as "Punishment". It would be best to just hold off until you're older. I myself have not come out to my parents and i don't feel i need to tell them anytime soon. It's not like I'm arranged to be married or anything.

You're mother believes that homosexuality is a sin? O_o .... Honey, you should wait until you're older like what everyone says.
When you tell her, try to use as much positive words as you can. lol xD Lay it down slow~

I agree with everyone here. You should wait until you're life is where it needs to be, by that I mean you're living on your own and you have your education. I'm planning on telling my mother when I'm going away to college. sweatdrop I might want to rethink that though. stare Maybe until I'm living on my own as well. sweatdrop
