I am truely afraid to tell my parents of my bi/lesbianness not because i think that they wont love me, but because i am afraid the will love me less, and feel aquard to be around me. i know i will probably have to tell them someday, but i feel that my relationship with my parents is FAR more important than some short-term, highschool drama relationship that will end badly, but i want to have a lover someday T crying T this fear has prevented me from having any " first kiss" , dates, or any of that jazz, even with a boy because i am afriad that they wont believe me. OTL

I'm in a very similar situation. I know my parents will still love me (especially my mom), but I don't want to make them disappointed in me. I've decided that it's time to tell them, but when I go to say those words, my courage dries up. I even tried recording a video and asking my mom to watch it, thinking it wouldn't be as difficult to do, but that failed as well. I also know things will be awkward at first, but I really believe now they will get over it...eventually. Good luck!
