It's hard sad Mostly because you have memories with that person, probably really good memories. And when you see them, of course all you can think about was how great they were, all the fun times you had, and then why everything ended. Every situation is a little different, but often times ex's are a big part of our lives, and we can't just forget our time with them.

Every situation is a little different, but often times ex's are a big part of our lives, and we can't just forget our time with them. i admit to that because of i went through in the past make me who I amm right now in my life. i just want to know if its healthy to habour thses feelings and take with me into a new relationship?

As long as you really care about the new person you're going into a relationship with, it should be fine. It's completely normal to have those feelings. I got into a new relationship while still thinking about my ex, but I did wait somewhere between six months and a year first. You just have to be sure you will not be going back to your ex, but just having thoughts and feelings (That you'll eventually forget and get over) should be fine (in my opinion)!

While i don't completely agree with you on the part of getting over your feelings for the ex, i do agree that when you know sure that you won't go back to your ex, then it should be fine.
