Guild Disclaimer
Any works created within this guild are the intellectual property of the guild and their rightful owners. This includes original characters, story lines, artwork, and anything else that members of this guild have produced, strictly for Academy X.
Any non-original elements such as the X-Men themselves, or the concepts created by Marvel belong to their respective owners-- We make no profit from this, this is merely for entertainment purposes.
However, that said--None of the content of this guild should be reproduced without the consent of the author. Anything written specifically for this guild: Posting Edict, Rules, Narrations, Descriptions, Posting Styles, ID Badges and so on are the works of Angel Reaver and other guild members, past and present.
If we find that anything in the guild has been plagiarized, we will take what actions we can.
We have been copied from several times, both in guild creation and many character profiles. Imagine how frustrating it must be to think about joining another guild, and findings your original character being played by someone else. Imagine that all your hard word was being copied. Since the guild's inception six years ago, we've been forced to report this kind of infraction after the guild owners refused to remove the content when approached.
Three guilds have been shut down by Gaia Mods for refusing to put up a disclaimer for our work. Other guilds have been much more compliant about smaller issues, easily understanding how offensive it was for our players to see their characters elsewhere--And politely asked their players to make their own characters.
We work hours upon hours on the guild and expect everyone to respect the work of the players and creators. We don't want to make the guild private...But we will, if we have to.
