I'm currently in the house of my brother's girlfriend. Above their stairs, there is a beautiful velvet painting of a knight on a horse. It's beautiful, but scary.
Sure, the painting itself looks a little eerie, but her family has told me about how when they first moved into the house, that painting had fallen off the wall in the middle of the night and somehow landed by the front door, propped up, with no damage whatsoever.
Often with stories people have told me, I can be a bit skeptic at first or at least open to all possibilities, but the second I saw that painting tonight, I knew that there is something odd about it. The eyes of the knight and horse follow you, as all paintings do, but their gaze is unnerving. The black background gives me chills and (even with my brother standing at the bottom of the stairs, ready to make fun of my reaction if I made one,) I ended up walking very slowly down the stairs, my eyes fixed on it. Everyone in the house could read the look on my own face before I realised I'd made a face.
Any ideas, guys? I really honestly think that there is something up here eek

It could just be a creepy picture. Sometimes a picture is just a picture. I'm not really sure how you would test for paranormality here other than just waiting for something weird to happen.

As I've said already, it did somehow manage to fall off the wall, down the stairs (denting the banister in the process) and land propped against the front door with no sustained damage. Turns out the hook it was on had also been forcefully pressed flat against the wall by something eek
The painting has been there since before they moved in as far as I know and their neighbour's little kids all either refuse to look at it or won't stop staring at it. They won't tell us why.
