Background: Soul came from an extremely rich family of musicians. He had an older brother called Wes, a violinist, whom he suffered an inferiority complex to, and although he himself had a talent for playing the piano, he was reluctant to exhibit this talent because he constantly knew that Wes was better than him. After finding out that he was a Demon Weapon however, he found that he was able to escape from his family tradition as musicians and strive to become a Death Scythe instead. Evidence seems to show that he was the first Demon Weapon in the Evans family.
He was then approached by Maka Albarn, and the two decided to become partners. Just before they agreed though, Soul played for her a song on the piano, stating that this was 'the kind of person he is.' Although the song sounded dark and strange to Maka, she liked it, and finding Soul to be the first boy she could trust, became partners with him. From that point on the two worked together, gathering Kishin Eggs prior to the beginning of the main story.
Soul seems to prefer to forget his past life as a musician, as he dislikes being called by his full name, including his last name, 'Evans.'Soul also became a death scythe when they assualt Baba Yaga's castle by eating Arachne's soul.
Abilities:
Form Manipulation: This allows Soul and Maka to change the appearance of Soul's Weapon form. To what extent is not yet known but they have been seen to manipulate the length of the scythe blade in Soul's Weapon form.
Flight: Through Soul Resonance with Maka's Grigori Soul, Soul can manifest wings in his Weapon form, allowing him and Maka to fly. The two debate over what sort of wings they want, and thus it takes a little time for them to achieve this ability. At first, Soul makes sharp spiky wings, which, although achieving momentary flight, is rejected by Maka due to their unattractive appearances. After yielding to Maka's wish for more 'fluffy' angel-like wings, Soul's wings take on the form of a tiny pair of feathery wings, which achieves flight, but with incredibly low speed. After settling their argument, Soul creates a pair of large strong feathery wings which allows them great speed and versatility in the air.
Keyboard: Originally formed from his dark keyboard ability but with the black blood gone he can now control it without going insane. Soul also displays the unique ability to change his blade into a keyboard, and strike its keys to send out powerful sound waves. The sound waves are so powerful that they are able to create shock waves that can blow people backwards and tear up the ground. This is likely a combination of his Form Manipulation ability as a Death Scythe. Stein is impressed that Soul can create such powerful sound waves on his own.

Dislikes: Anything that's not cool
Personality: He's likes to lay back and act "cool", he's calm, reserved and aloof. He loves to tease with Maka but trufully he cares deeply willing to sacrifice himself to protect her. He have a strong weakness to women, which can be tell when he get's a nosebleed by blair then getting punched by Maka. He's what you call a slacker in school, assuming the time he tried to cheat the exam. He can be sometimes a little immature and stubborn to most things almost like Black Star except he doesn't get on top of high places and scream his name at people.
