Jhala is the son of the last Nepali President before it became part of the Oriental Alliance. His older sister is the current Provincial Governer of Nepal. Despite having such a powerful and influential heritage, Jhala's military
career is based on merit and hard work, not relying on his family's status to rise through the ranks, though he seems to have stagnated at Staff Sergeant.
...But I Must Warn You:
At first, Jhala appears to be cold-blooded, impatient, but he does have a sense of bravery. He taunts his enemies that the potential of a Zoid pilot needs to be improved, but is otherwise far more honorable than his comrades. Jhala is shown to be a serious man. However, he can take a joke, and sometimes gives a sarcastic remark himself. He also takes pride in being part of the Oriental Alliance, and is one of the few non-corrupt pilots. He has a deep sense of justice and ethical value, and is undyingly loyal to those he considers his allies, as well as a respect for his rivals.
