Katsumi was born into a military family and her whole life has been around Zoids. Her father and older brothers are pilots for the O.A., since she was the youngest she had a lot to prove to everyone and to herself. Every since she could walk she was trained to pilot a Zoid cause of her father and to understand how each of them work. She was always compared to her older brother and father always pushed her to become better. When the time came to prove herself as a pilot and to join the O.A. like her father and older brothers she ended up being the top of her class and beating her brother as well as her father. Soon after she joined her father retired but still pushes her to become better.

She likes to be by herself and star gazing. She is a bit quite and she seems to be always thinking of something. When she is piloting she is ruthless, cunning, meticulous and perceive, always attacking openings in her enemies defenses. Because of her nature in battle they named her Zoid Akuma Ryoken "The Demon Hound"
