Game: Sweet Talk When: NOW until 6:00pm PST August 12th Essence: Chickie Feather Oil: Cadbury Creme
This unfortunate Luxia is a creation of sweetness, but absolutely refuses to be labeled as something sickly sweet and childlike... despite its makeup. If you want to get your hands on this sweet little number, you'll have to sweet talk it. Literally.
The object of this game is to find an image online of something you think is delicious, and then describe it in words (it's not like the lantern can see!). You must provide a link to the image at the end of your entry, because I can see. 8D!
Make the description mouth-wateringly appetizing and this lantern will recognize you as its rightful owner. Simple and to the point, yes?

Name: Beppe Gender: Female Description: A thing to die for, a dessert that is more than a dessert; rich in flavor and color. Raspberry Sorbet is a delectable treat that screams refined and yet you can eat it like a child. Not overly sticky sweet or icky, it is ice cold, crisp, fresh and smooth. So soft that it melts on your tongue. A perfect mixture of tart fruitiness and a ice cream texture, the kind of treat you could sit around and eat all day without getting sick of it. The color only adds to the appeal, a bright ruby red that glimmers and seems to beg 'eat me'. Link: Raspberry Sorbet

Name: Nahele Gender: male Description:My dear little Luxia, I bring you something sweet and savory, smooth and decadent. Cherry Cheesecake is what I bring love, though it may not sound like the sweetest dessert, but when all is said and done you won't know what hit you. It is whipped to perfection and smooth in texture. It is so very sweet, one bite gives any child a sugar high like no other. The crust does not flake off like a pie, it crumbles and has a taste all its own, complementing with it's duller sweet taste...what is left behind makes you want to just lick your fingers and pick up every last crumb. The cherry juice or 'sauce' adds a certain thick texture and helps tone down the overly sweet taste of the cheesecake just enough. If you like cherries you can have actual cherries as well, but I myself don't care for cherries....but Cheesecake and Cherry cheesecake is a sweet and savory treat for anyone to enjoy. Do enjoy! ^_^ <3 Link: Cherry Cheesecake

Name: Radcliff Gender: Male Description:Not all the is sweet come in the form of a sugary treat with ribbons or bows or any sort of designer touch. No, some sweets come from meats. Not the red kind of a cow or deer, or white or brown from a bird. This meat is not from the land but the sea. When you fist see it, it's in a cold hard shell, the color is a deep ruddy red and brown. The boiling water cooks the meat to perfection, and when brought out, the shell has transformed. The ruddy colors once muted are now a glowing bright red like the sun or coral the creature who's tail of which I speak hides in. It is a truly brilliant color to behold. But, I speak of that which you cannot see. But I can speak of the taste, the texture, the smell and the way it is sweet with out any sugar to be had. The tail is broken open with a loud crack, and inside is a treasure. Soft and tender, the meat is easy to remove, a natural curve from the tail giving it a shape, and the shell having molded it to where each bump and curve might be a way to cut and serve. The meat breaks easily with little struggle and melts in your mouth. The juice of the meat is not blood but ambrosia, and without and spices or sauces, it's flavor is not salty from the seas which it come from but sweet and euphoric all on it's own. A hint of lemon, butter, or hot sauce or even perhaps a dash of any other flavoring only enhances the meat's natural flavor, which no machine can replicate. To fall into a ruse of anything claiming to be this sweetest of meat is just that, a ruse. The meat's smell is pure like sea, and yet it is not repulsive. It would be like smelling the summer waves and the surf. Hunger rising as you realize the prize before you. A lobster tail, fresh, boiled to perfection and the off white colored puffing meat with a light back of red and flecks of red upon it's sides. A sweet meat of the sea, the likes of which I have yet to find anything made by the hands of man can replicate. Link: Boiled Lobster Tail

Name: Arra Gender: Male Description:
What could be better than Tiramisu? Nothing because Tiramisu is like heave in your mouth. The dessert is literally translated into "pick me up" in Italian, and it is just that a wonderful pick me up to any day or any occasion. When one thinks of dessert they tend to think sweet and often times this would be a true assumption however Tiramisu is a dessert of a different breed lovely! How is this you ask ? Well because it defies the normal dessert in that it is anything but sickeningly sweet, in fact its not very sweet at all depending on how one makes it. The popular dish is often prepared with light, thin, golden ladyfingers or sponge cake, these little beauties are then given the most wonderful bath one could hope for, this being soaked until just moist enough in espresso or strong coffee. Preferably strong coffee for better more mature flavor there is also normally the addition of a flavorful liquor such as dark rum. Which by the way gives it that ever so delightful kick in the taste buds when eating it.
Moving right along to the next layer of this heavenly dessert, the mascarpone cheese layer, a delicious, rich and sweet creamy spread of pure bliss. Though it is very high in fat content it's so very worth using, its sweetness tends to balance out the strong coffee and rum, though not overpowering the dessert to make it so sweet your teeth rot on contact. After this layer is mixed with eggs it is beaten into a soft cream that is spread over the soaked ladyfingers. Once the mascarpone cheese layer is added the top is generously sprinkled with a layer of cocoa powder. Now when someone thinks cocoa their mind turns to chocolate and sweet, however this once again is not the case. Cocoa powder is an unsweetened powder that gives the dish an intense if not slightly bitter chocolate taste. So little Luxia if you're in the mood for some mature sweetness then consider indulging in some Tiramisu with Cheekie....

Name: Celeste Gender: Female Description: They're scrumptious, juicy, mouth-watering buns from heaven, wrapped delicately with tender hands.
Small chinese buns, that contain a filling of tender meat with soup. Stiffer than a steam bun, yet juicier than dumpings, this dish can serve as a meal and drink in one!
Each bite delivers a gush of warm, sweet soup as you bite into the soft, tender meat inside, overwhelming your tastebuds with each chew, making you cry out for more. Only a chef of such rank and skill can manage to fill these delectable delights with such a blend of pure perfection, and you can only enjoy each bite, soup dribbling down the corners of your mouth.
Even the outer layer is something to enjoy, as it contains similar savoury texture of dumpling skin, yet soaked with the moisture of soup within, you can only enjoy each and every aspect of such a delectable delight. NO other Dim Sum can compare!

Name: Estinne Gender: Female Description:
I bring to you, darling Luxia, the simplest of desserts, brought upon a pure white platter. Three layers, three flavors, three textures, a perfect harmony of a dish: Upon the bottom, you would see, ribbons of phyllo, the most delicate of pastries, curling and swirling to create a nest upon which the rest is cradled. Take a bite, and it crackles beautifully; thinner than paper, the dough rapidly melts away upon your tongue, kissing it with faint, fleeting sweetness. Try again, and a new flavor overtakes the old: Candy sweet and citrusy, the faintly floral flavor profile of orange blossom honey blooms within your mouth.
Raise your gaze, and your eyes would meet with the milky cousin of a cloud; they call it whipped cream. Light as cotton candy, the cream falls away to liquid behind the warmth of your lips and cleanses your palette, tantalizing your taste buds with a sweetness that begs you to take another bite. But first, you look.
Atop this masterpiece is the fruit of legends, a berry so perfect that it was able to calm even the nightmarish wrath of a woman. Sliced into thin layers, the strawberry is laid out like a flower, showcasing its natural gradient from brilliant red to pale pink. In its midst is one last dollop of whipped cream, giving the flower a center. Try only the strawberry for now, and bite into a berry that is tender, yet firm. The bold tartness contrasts wonderfully with the sweetness you've sampled thus far, yet within it you find a fruity sweetness all its own.
With each layer explored, it's now time to step back and try this beauteous specimen of the culinary art as a whole. Take a bite. Immediately, an explosion of flavors and textures: crisp phyllo that melts away; the bright, slightly-citrusy burst of honey; whipped cream that cleans it all away; tart strawberry, firm and tender, jumping upon the scene; and once more, whipped cream, wiping it all out once more and kissing you goodbye.

Name: Caethes Gender: Male Description: To a darling Luxia, I compare you to only the most rich and decadent of desserts and offer you this...
The smell is of a sweet burn, a bronzed outer exterior of cream sits on top of this luscious dessert. Flaky to the touch, the outer shell is easily scraped away to reveal the layer to the fluffy cake exterior. Within the warm outer shell is nestled a layer of sweet frozen cream, smelling of delectable strawberries and the finest of chocolate.
The cake itself is a light vanilla, baked to perfection and moist upon the ice cream, the contrast of warmth and cold colliding to create ecstasy in both flavors. Warmth and cold both unite to bring this dessert to it's highest peak, tickling the senses and stretching the norms of dessert, all hidden deep within the creamy shell. It is truly a treat of two worlds which is drizzled in sweetness and meant to confuse and delight.
