This is a quest thread to help me plan out the details of a custom witchling.
( I don't think she counts as a Special character, but I'm more than willing to redo the profile if I'm wrong. )
All critiques are welcomed and encouraged. The more brutal, the better.
There's no excuse for rudeness, but I welcome harsh crit as delicious noms for growth and improvement. :3

Stage: Witchling
Gender: Female
Biography: Ever heard a familiar argument about Pureblood vs. Mudblood? Well, Säde's family isn't quite that bad, but they're close. She was raised by two Majin who are proud to boast many others in their adopted bloodline, a number of Witch Eaters included. Säde, however, doesn't know about any of it. The names studding her family record are just names to her, as her mother and father have been around the Hallow a time or two and know the dangers of human prejudice. They're so delicious, humans and their Hearts; it makes it harder to be close to them when they're judging you as harshly as they do. And Säde's parents do so want their little girl to be close to them, to grow more powerful because of them. So they raised her as one of them, pounding into her the belief that she is entirely human. They explained away her magical potency as untrained skill, and the steadily-increasing hunger for Witch Hearts as an affinity for powerful individuals. Säde has never questioned this lifestyle. She trusts her parents absolutely, with the naivety of a child.
Within the last couple years, however, even she has to admit that times have become a bit dodgy. Säde's father has taken to disappearing for odd lengths of time. Her mother, normally attached to him at the hip, pardons these inconveniences where she never would have before. In those times when her husband is gone, she frets about him horribly, but will never tell her daughter a thing about why she's so worried. Though decorum forbids her from mentioning it, Säde is worried that her tight-knit family is slowly unraveling, that there's nothing that she can do....and even though her parents have always talked about sending her to the Makai Royal Academy to help her growth, recent events have made Säde feel like they only did it to send her away.
Ability Concentration/Theme: Strong elemental powers, fire specifically. Love for the volatile element runs primordially deep within Säde, and has for as long as she can remember. The giggling flicker of candlelight, the rumbling hum of a grudgingly-contained brazier, even the carnal shriek of a blaze gone awry; all whisper to Säde in a language all their own. She understands it, oftentimes reasoning to herself that it is the gnawing hunger they share that allows the dangerous kinship. Whatever it is, manipulating the flames is something the young Majin was born to do. Small fires, cinders and embers are the height of her power as a Witchling, though in later years she aims to make these as easy to work with as breathing - but the bigger the blaze, the higher the cost to control it. Sometimes there is legitimate question of whether she is master of the element, or if the element has found a slave in her.

I'm not completely finished with the extra bits of this character, but I do welcome opinions on what I've got so far. Have I got the magic wrong? A problem with the history? Please let me know what you think!
It's the only way to improve, right? Of course right. =D
