Razor looked at the ribbon and grunted. It wasn't his first choice, but it was probably a whole lot better than what he would have scavenged. "If ya don't mind it gettin' dirty, supposed that'll work. Maybe yous can clean it proper in Lunarie, but blood stains pretty good."
He eyed Hail closely. "Sure you wanna use that?"

Hail kept looking at Razor. “I would not offer if the terms were not acceptable to me.” Her face seemed impassive, but Hail was thinking that something like that had been said before when she had last been speaking to Razor. He always seemed so nice offering her options and explaining things she got wrong. Using her good paw and mouth she tugged at the ribbon until it came off and she could offer it to Razor. “Have you thought on my other question you have still left unanswered?” Hail didn’t know if it was alright to ask him or if she was supposed to wait for an answer so she asked what was on her mind. She then realized that he might need clarification on what she was asking since his mind did not work like hers. “About becoming possible mates. Spending time together in a way such that in a few seasons if both of us are agreeable that we might then become mates. ”

Razor didn't answer immediately. He was too busy examining Hail's paw, cleaning the area of excess blood once he was sure the wound had bled enough to clean itself. The clean slice style would actually heal better bound, so that played into his original intentions.
He focused on wrapping the wound, intent as if he was defusing a bomb. Razor might have been more brawler than healer, but he still firmly believed in properly caring for yourself. How else would you get tougher?
Finished, he shrugged. "Didn't answer cause it don't need an answer. If I hadn't been open to the idea I'd have rejected you instantly." He raked Hail with his intense orange eyes. "Should it really matter? If this is something you want, really want, then yous shouldn't let nothin' or no one get in your way. Gotta fight for what you want, cause no one's gonna hand you anything."
Razor shrugged again, then looked off towards the forest. "Guess we should get goin'. It'll take longer to travel wit' that paw of yours. He stood firm patiently, waiting for Hail to stand.

It made perfect sense, Razor just made perfect sense. He was right if he hadn’t wanted her, would have said no to her the first time. She felt that strange fluttering in her chest again. Smiling she stood up once Razor finished with her paw. It hurt but she was not going to make Razor wait simply because she was in pain. The blood on her ribbon wouldn’t bother her. She was feeling excited and wanted to see what Razor’s home was like. Did he have family? Would they be as easy to understand as Razor was? She was curious but she didn’t think it was necessary to understand Razor’s family. If she didn’t understand them then she would ask Razor what they meant. “Then I follow you now and until you pass on from this world.” She had waited five days she could wait longer.
With her intentions stated she tightened her grip on her box of treasures and then took a few steps forward before looking at Razor. “Shall we start to head to your home then? I look forward to seeing what your homeland is like.” She gave a soft giggle and a smile showing her inner emotions for a change. That was a small miracle. One of many to come hopefully.
