The cinematography was AMAZING.
In my opinion the plot was weak, but I know people who absolutely love the movie. The beginning was really promising, as are the camera shots. But about halfway through the movie, it just didn't have me on the edge of my seat anymore.
Lots of references - for example:
She was thrown in an insane asylum and spends almost the entire time in a weird fantasy world trying to acquire items she needs to get home.
The guy who runs the asylum is kind of like a Red Queen reference. He's bearably repulsive until you get him mad. Then he throws an absolute fit and kills people. Or... Off with your head (aka a lobotomy)
