It was a long and grueling eighteen week process, we've seen court cases, lawsuits, a brief ban that lifted the lock out only to have it put back into place days later, but it is now officially over. The Players and Owners have agreed to a new deal, and the season has been saved!
Not all the details of the new CBA has been disclosed, but this is what we know so far. Prior the split of the total revenue was close to a 50/50 split (Slightly favoring the players) Now the dividing of the revenue is closer to 53% for the owners and 47% for the players, but no details on exactly how it will be divided. The players on the other hand won issues that pertained to off season workouts and training camps that will allow them to be safer and better for the players long term health.
The owners did not get their 18 games regular season like they wanted, but a clause was added to the contract so they can revisit this issue in 2013, but an 18 game regular season cannot be approved unless the players Union agrees to the terms.
As a result to the lock out ending today, only the Hall of fame Pre-season game between the Bears and Rams was lost, the rest of the pre-season and regular season will be played.
Football is back! There is so much to do and so little time to do it in.

Its about time! To bad the HoF game was canceled though. And finally im not worthlessly paying for NFL network. Actually some interesting stuff and news about stuff other than the lockout.

I'm so glad that the NFL is back!! I always look foward to when the Packers play and now they are back!! yay!!!
