I have heard a lot of theories about Marche's behavior in the game. I have played it many times and the story line still just kind of catches me as wrong in some ways. Marche treats his clan as figments of his imagination with no thought to the ramifications to their lives if he changes the world as well as Ritz's, Mewt's, and Doned's personal happiness in the world. Everyone seems so happy in Ivalice. Ritz is accepted, Mewt has his dead mother back and his father seems happy, and Doned. . . well he can walk because he was a cripple before. Even Marche is in charge of a major clan, but he seems nonresistant that the world be returned to the way it was. Where everyone was miserable. This is why many people believe that Marche is in the wrong and is the real villain in this game because of his utter disregard for the happiness of others. On the other hand many say that the world was a lie and Marche merely returned them to reality and that is where they belong. A game with a message to learn to face reality.
However, these are merely speculations that I have made while playing and consultation with my brother. Is Marche in the right or the wrong?
