Hi, guys.

User Image

I know this is sort of a ghost town, but I figured I'd leave this here regardless. This post can be just a general update post about all the things we know so far about the new Legend of Korra project. I'll start out with a handy tumblr post I found yesterday:

NEWS ABOUT KORRA

(This girl also has some awesome A:TLA and Korra related gifspams, which you can check out here.)

Feel free to contribute your own things, or just to share your thoughts about this A:TLA spinoff!

I haven't been keeping up with the news very closely, and so I was a little put off by how modern some of the cities look. There was a dude in a fedora! There are some other things that irked me about the announcement details, as well, but those are probably more to do my own tastes than the quality of the show.

That being said, it does look like it could be neat. I'm always hesitant about sequels and spinoffs. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

What do you think about how Korra looks as a character? I think it's awesome to have a woman character who looks so physically adept. Girl's got some muscles.

Yeah I agree with Itinerant. The fact that everything looked so modern surprised me too. And I can definitely tell they based it off of real places. I'm kinda sad that it won't be so rural any more, but i guess that's the point.

I think it's cool that we have a female lead this time ^^ And again, I agree with Itinerant "Girl's got some muscles." XD

Sweet, thanks for the tumblr website, I just became a rabid fangirl again, ahaha. I'm so excited about this series, though I'm also a little surprised on how modern the scenery looks. Nevertheless, female warrior and metalbending FTW. cool

My initial response was one of intense skepticism, but as I'm seeing more and more about it I can't help but get a little hyped up about it. I hope they flesh these characters out as much as they did the originals.

Quite honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this. It seems like it won't be my type of show at all, and from what I understand this was not in the creators' master plans. Nickelodeon has a way of spreading shows thin and barely recognized the greatness of the original series. I hope my skepticism proves wrong, but the idea of it does not sound entertaining. As much as I'd love to see Aang's son!! >.<
