A Table made of oak
One that cannot choke
One that cannot die
One which cannot lie
A table made of glass
One with beauty to surpass
One with a reflection
One to pass inspection
A table made of ice
One cannot measure with price
One to melt and fade away
One to never see another day
A table made of stone
One of which to break a bone
One with standard ties
One on which you can rely
A table mad of metal
One of structure, made to settle
One to last for ages
One who never turns pages
A table made of doors
One to match the floors
One to see off the drapes
One with playing tapes
A table made of air
One to not play fair
One who can sway
One to blow away
A table made of food
One to munch when in the mood
One to rot and give a sent
One that none wish to rent
A table made of love
One as precious as a dove
One to share and spread around
One to lose, then be found
A table made of hate
One to never find a mate
One to perish and fall
One to never stand at all
A table made of men
One has written one with pen
One to govern and boss
One without a cause
A table made of hope
One has wished to cope
One to keep things alive
One to freshen and revive
These tables have a past
One that will not last
One to fall behind
One to lie there in the grime
These tables have a dream
One to be supreme
One to be it's best
One to stand above the rest
~* My brother told me to practice my writing. He told me to write a poem about a table. So this was the poem about a table. Ah... I'm not sure how I feel about it. I think it's pretty good. I don't know, that's for you guys to judge (:
