 Before one takes the risk of opeing a portal to another dimension, get abducted by aliens, repeat Dr. Frakenstein's experiment, or build a robot of any kind, we must first set some ground rules.

There are always a few key things that must be part of a story as we all know. An original title to grab peoples attention is the first step. An interesting plot is also needed, followed by a clear set of rules and character profiles. If an rp is missing one of these key elements, I will inform you by pm. If you do not fix it, then I will lock it. When you inform me that you know what you are missing and will quickly fix it, then I will happily unlock it for you.

It is fun to be all powerful and all knowing as a writer. But in an rp with more than one person than yourself, it ruins the fun and excitement. Please do not godmod. Think of it this way, it's like someone controlling your thoughts and actions (I know, very sci-fi). No one likes a controll freak. There is a freedom in improvising and letting the story take control than one person. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Godmodding gets on my nerves more than anything else. There will only be one warning from me if I catch you doing it. End of story.

There is much seen in the science fiction world, but that doesn't mean we need to see it all. For all intensive purposes keep things PG-13.
Also, Not under any circumstances should there be cybering. You don't need to write it and I don't need to read it, nor does anyone else for that matter. I do not encourage anything that even smells like cybering. So there will be no "take it to the PM's" from me. Just don't do it and we will all be happy. Time skips for the nasty things are perfectly acceptable.
Swearing is another one of my pet peeves. A word or two here or there is permitable, but every line is too much. Use your words wisely.

Words are powerful and the lack of words are powerful in their own way. Whether or not you are new to the role playing atmosphere or are more experienced, you can always bring flavor to a story. As all English teachers have said, show don't tell. Scienece fiction is all about seeing new and strange things, and the more you can write about the experience the more fun it becomes. I ask for literacy in this forum. It won't hurt to take extra time to make the story more interesting and fun to read, then to just move the story along.

Every RP you are in should be fun, in this guild or not, in real life or online. You role play becuase you enjoy it. So please, have fun. This isn't a rule, it's a reminder.
