Rumors and Theories:Quote: Von Helson ForestThe first rumor I stumbled upon was one that spoke of a mysterious elk roaming the dark forests surrounding the Von Helsons' Manor on dark, misty nights. Witnesses claim to have seen an imposing, elk-like silhouette with glowing eyes forming out of the menacing shadows and thick fog enshrouding the entire forests in a menacing blanket of impending doom. Alas, very little evidence can be brought up to attest to this rumor as most witnesses either passed out from fright or ran off screaming at the mere sight of the evidently imposing and fearsome vision that is now believed by many to be Lord Carl's then juvenile physique. Fortunately, there is hope as such an origin would mean that dark powers were in fact responsible for His Elkness' propensity for violence as well as the soul-stealing effect of his enlightened glare. The perpetual yellowy glow of said stare could evidently also be explained by these supernatural origins, as we all know that strange happening are regularly sighted in these forest by brave explorers eager to make a name for themselves. This humble servant of the truth personally think that something in these forests is turning the wildlife into superior beings and that Lord Carl, being the strongest and wisest of these beings, decided that such supremacy was worthy of devoted followers.

Am I allowed to post in here? I have a song for the antlered demigod:
*Ahem* (cue "The Brady Bunch" theme-music)
♪ Here's the story, of an elk named Ca-arl Who was plotting the demise of all mankind Some people laughed, But little did they know, the day of reckoning would come ♫
♫ Till the one day, when a cult of foll'wers Would all gather here from near and from far, That this sect Must somehow form a true church. That's the way we all became The Church of Carl! ♪

Yes, you are allowed to post here, but I think this would go better in the Carl Anthems thread as this one deals exclusively with the origins of Carl (aka before he opened his shop)... This song seems to originate from the Church of Carl guild, no?
