Romero shook Zlata's hand when it was given him, but try as he might, he couldn't think of anything he might share with this European nation. That she was European was, unfortunately, all he could identify. Having had closer ties with socialist nations for so long, he couldn't remember many of his older dealings with Eastern Europe.
Hoping that his words did not become exercises of futility, he ventured a few questions. "How has your country been, and how are you finding Axis High, Zlata? There are so few seniors around that I often wonder why I remain... And those few I do know left some time ago too," he added bitterly. Then, realizing that he would sink into melancholy if he kept this up, he hastily changed the topic back to small talk. "What sort of things do you enjoy doing?"
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of Caracas: Not only did I just get my laptop back from the factory, but I also forgot that there was something to reply to for Romero! It's annoying how I've become accustomed to responding to specific people in this guild XD;;;

~Slovakia~ ZlataAugustineLietchinsk 11th Grade "Zhe usual, tourism mostly. And ano, zhe school 'as been quiet as of recent."Zlata shrugged, not being one to open up about herself to total strangers, but nonetheless appearing quite calm and friendly towards the green eyed male, nodding agreeingly at the mention of the school being quiet. Zlata had grown quite used to it by now, but school lessons were rather boring without anyone attending them. As the next glass of wine met her lips she searched for an answer to Romero's next question. She swallowed her drink and smiled;"Ice Hockey, cooking, music and Vine mostly." The slovak wouldn't normally admit to being a heavy drinker, but drinking wine always made her more cheerful, although rarely drunk. She had good reason to avoid getting drunk as well, as it tended to bring back painful memories and brought her fierce temper and true perverse nature out to play. When she was like that, she could be as bad as her once french ally.
Romero nodded. “Hockey sobre hielo, no? We should play a game together sometime. I am by no means good at the sport, but it is a fun one. Cooking is a fine hobby as well. I myself enjoy soccer and swordfighting more than anything, but chess and historical novels are other fun things as well.”
The two nations chatted for a while more until, with a start, Romero realized that they had whiled away an insane amount of time just doing that. He hadn’t ever figured out what it was that Juliana had wanted him to come here for, either! Rising, Romero, shook Zlata’s hand one more time. “Lo siento for taking up so much of your time. I think we’re all late to classes now! If you want to head back, I don’t blame you. I can walk you back if need be,” he added, just in case the Slovak had drunk too much. She didn’t look that inebriated, but there was always that precaution. “As for me, I’m going to wait here a while longer and see what Juliana has to tell me. Almost no one from my year arrives, so I doubt the teachers would even miss me if I didn’t show up.” He gave a bitter laugh and waved. “Mucho gusto meeting you, and I hope we can chat again in the future.”

I really want to find out what Juliana has in store for Romero, and I don't do much with him otherwise anyway. XD;;

~Slovakia~ ZlataAugustineLietchinsk 11th Grade "Zhat ist true, hockey ist alvays good fun, und so are many ozher things~"Zlata agreed cheerfully, as the two conversed. It took her by surprise when she looked at the clock idly to see it was a new day, and second period was already underway! What? Was she drunk? Zlata thought for a moment, pulled out of thought by Romero suddenly shaking her hand. A little baffled as to how to the time had gone by so fast she simply nodded and smiled:"It ist fine. Und same vor me. Vell zhere's no point arriving half vay through zhe lesson, so I vhink I'll ave some more vine and go in vhen third period starts." The offer at being walked home amused Zlata somewhat, but didn't spark any interest. Did he think she was drunk? Clearly he had no idea who she was, but still. The offer was sweet though. The slovak nodded, and drank quietly, leaving Romero and Juliana to talk in peace.
Slovak>>>English OutOfCombat: I'm fine with having Zlata lurk for a while. No one's posted in the gym yet anyway, so I'll wait and see if the school get's a little busier later on c:
Seeing that Zlata wasn't leaving yet, Romero resumed his seat with a half-smile. "De acuerdo, Zlata. Perhaps we can share some more time yet. By the way, what type of wine do you recommend?" he asked, leaning in slightly to tap her glass. "My twin and I produce mucho coffee, but neither of us is quite so big on wine."

~Slovakia~ ZlataAugustineLietchinsk 11th Grade "Tokaji vino, vhite, if you 'ave a sveet tooth."Zlata responded automatically, unphased as the male leaned closer and tapped her glass, herself eyeing the remaining sweet white liquid in her glass. Although she occasionally indulged in beer, wine was undoubtedly her favourite; it was very rare for her not to carry a bottle of the stuff around with her. "I don't mind coffee now und again, but it ist a bit too bitter vor me."Zlata admitted. It was nice with Francis's breakfast croissants, or with some biscuits~
Romero raised a surprised eyebrow when Zlata immediately provided a response. "Tokaji white for a sweet tooth, hmm?" he noted. "Interesante... Pero... As an occasional coffee drinker, I don't mind some bitterness in my drink. What color is the most flavorful, do you think?"
As he spoke, his gaze flickered over to the window. With how quickly time was passing, it wouldn't be surprising if he actually spent two days here with this agreeable European country. How strangely pleasant that visiting a friend could result in his making a new one.

~Slovakia~ ZlataAugustineLietchinsk 11th Grade "Red ist strongest in flavour, but very pungent."Zlata responded after a moments thought. Looking over to the clock on the wall, she reluctantly realised it was time to go. Standing up she waved goodbye to Romero and Juliana;"Time vor me to go. See you around~" The female downed the last of her drink, set the glass on the bar counter, paid, and left.
The Venezuelan nodded. "I see." He followed Slovakia's gaze to the clock and, since they had spent far more time than they'd anticipated together, he was unsurprised when she stood up to leave. "Bueno; thank you for the chat and see you around!" he said with a wave, watching as she left. Then, with a sigh, he turned back to Juliana, who appeared to have been dumbfounded by this entire exchange. She had summoned him here days ago, but hadn't told him what she called him over here for. Was she angry at him for something? He couldn't imagine anything he might've done to enrage her so; and besides, he wasn't angry at her, for how could one be angry with such a beautiful nation? If only they were young and could talk freely like children again... Romero twirled the stirrer in his drink and waited, growing slowly more impatient and distressed. How unlike Juliana to clam up like this...
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of Caracas: Does anyone know where Dragon is? I'd've thought laptop repairs would take less than many months... CSU semester has just started. 8C
Dragon, I'm hanging on here possibly until quarter's end or at least until February's end, and if I don't get a response from you within that time, here or elsewhere, I think I'll just pull Romero. He's only waiting for you and the senior class is too dead to keep him on.

Latvia
Raivis Galdent
Ravivis had came into the bar a while ago. Not many people would know it, but the young boy was a drinker. When he drank...he Drank hard. He couldn't count how many times the other Baltic's had to carry him home, mainly because he can't remember.
He was sitting at the bar with two bottles of Latvian Vodka sitting on the table ext to him. One bottle was empty while the other was half empty.
He sang a common folk song in Latvian. It was about brewing beer. He found it appropriate for his heavy drinking. The boy only stopped singing when he took long sips from the battle of Vodka. Raivis then rested his head on the bar and swung his legs back in forth in the air since he was to short to touch the ground.
Šī pusīte skaisti dzied, Še dodat alus dzert; Viņa puse nedziedaja, Lai dzer pūra ūdentiņu.
