After four long years i have finally decided to get rid of my 2000 pontiac bonneville. I officially traded my pontiac today and purchased a 2003 Chrevolet Impala. I bought the car for $10,600 including tax and a 3 year warranty. The car only has 38,000 miles and is in mint condition.

Ironic i ended up in a car that looks identical to one of my family members but it's a popular car and probably the most popular color for it. I am pretty happy with the purchase because it's also the higher end model and it has the same 3.8 3800 series 2 engine my pontiac had instead of the crappy 3.4 these impalas normally come standard with. And there is almost no rust anywhere on the car, barely any on the underbody and i found only one spot on the car that had paint chipped off and there is only mild oxidation, not even rust. include a 3 year warranty and i'm pretty happy about it. Car is alot faster than the pontiac.i definitely didn't rip myself off like the last car i bought. i only put 30,000 on my pontiac the 4 years i had it, it could take almost 10 years for me to reach the 100,000 mile mark with this car. First night with my new car.

i'll be paying up the a** for it though because somehow my father's debt found a way on to my credit report but somewhow my credit was still good enough to get approved for a loan without a cosigner. Collision for the car isn't too much more a year. I already ordered my Nascar Windshield decal and vent visors and i'll be installing a k&n air filter within a couple months, other than that just basic maintenence. At least with the warranty the car can't really be a lemon cause if something goes wrong i'll be covered. I lol'd they have a nissan skyline body kit for the impala on ebay.

an immaculate car with no rust or damage, only 38k and a 3 year warranty with tax included? Doesn't sound that bad to me considering kbb.com has this car listed at 9,400 private seller. the sticker price was 8900.it's not like i am paying 10k just for the car.

A 3 year warranty on a 8 year old car is pretty good... what is it good for? the whole thing or something else?

engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, brakes and more. Normal maintainence like brake pads and rotors aren't covered but most of the things that go are on cars are covered. Not making the same mistake i did with my bonnie

That is a great deal. One of my other friends has an 03 monte carlo ss and he paid 9,500 after tax and had no warranty with 90k on it. Gotta kinda look at it this way. When you see a car thats 2 yrs old and already has 38k on it, the dealers still want 20k for it when it was 30 brand new. that impala im guessing was somewhere between 23k and 28k brand new and it has one of the best engines GM ever built. Well worth the price and very good find. Im looking for something like this except along the lines of mazda or ford seeing as I just got a $20 to $25 an hr job smile and can afford a new car but I loves my 93 probe with 170k on it ha

I was going to get a silver 2003 monte carlo ss for the same price as this car, went to test drive it and the battery didn't start and the hood wouldn't open. After the dealer fixed the issue i drove it and was very dissapointed with the lack of power the car had, they are not fast and they are heavy. My impala has the same engine and is much lighter. Not to mention the car had a lot of rust and dents all over. Then there was the impala i bought, same price, 38k and barely any rust. Unfortunately there is some rust on the impala, mostly the underside of the rear passenger door( some bubbling action going on) But i plan on paying off the car in 2 years, i'll have the warranty for 3 years and once that is up i'll sell the car privately and get a newer car. It's all about taking care of this car, i'll be undercoating this car every winter and regularly servicing it. Plus with the low miles when i sell the car i should get a good amount for it.

yeah the monte carlo ss is a pretty slow car mostly due to the size of it. my buddy had one and I raced it in my 4banger and beat it although my car is no slouch ha
