Background History:
He grew up at an orphanage because he never knew his mother and father. He didn't get along with the other orphans and spent his time carving puppets. Along with that he studied chemistry books. One day, he met an old man, who carried large scrolls on his back. The old man looked at him with interest. This lead to the old man visiting young Hidake once a day for two weeks. The old man said to the boy, "You possess a remarkable talent for puppets. Would you like to be my apprentice?" The young, intelligent boy responded with a quiet longing, "Would you be my father too?" This question came from the boy being secretly envious of those that got adopted. The old man paused and regarded the boy with a a sad look in his eyes. He then asked the boy, "What is your name?" For the old geezer had remembered that up to this point he had just been observing the little boy. The boy accepted the old man's request and told him his name, "Hidake Kagayoshi."
For the next eleven years the boy studied under the puppet master., quickly learning of his world renowned reputation as the greatest puppet master in history. The old man often said he had more talent than him as a boy. Especially in the areas of poison and chemistry. In fact, he once commented on it saying,"Your poison will be more deadly than your puppets." In all honesty that was saying quite a bit. As he grew as an apprentice, so did their relationship as father and son. By the time he turned eighteen, he was the greatest jounin in the village. Surpassing even his master, who had become the newest Kazekage. That was when disaster struck the whole village, when an invasion of the Leaf Village resulted in the death of his master. Who, at the time, was Kazekage. The invasion was then repelled by the enraged Hidake kagayoshi inflicting heavy casualties upon the Leaf. Only two of their ninja escaped alive and one of them was the murderer of his adopted father. He spent the next three days hunting down the man who murdered his father. In those three days the village celebrated him as a hero. On his return, they voted him to be Kazekage. He then sent a message to the Leaf saying that they had declared war on the village by killing the late Kazekage. However, the residing Hokage had been temporarily overthrown by a coup. Through great strife they managed to retake the village. The Hokage immediately sent a reply explaining everything. In it was a plead for forgiveness and a request for a peace treaty. The still extremely angry Hidake demanded that the two ninja who escaped be brought to Suna to be executed.
The Hokage could not accept these demands, but then he proposed another. Instead of letting Suna carry out the punishment, the Leaf would do it instead. Instead of death, lifelong imprisonment would be their punishment. They would never see the light of day again. The Kazekage would even be able to oversee their punishment in Konoha. So swore the current Hokage. Hidake initially found these conditions so unacceptable that he ran out into the desert. This would be where he raged for three days and thus causing traffic flowing from in and out of the village to be stopped. After he had finished raging he walked back into the village. He headed straight for his office and on the way there everyone avoided him. The following morning the granddaughter of the old man visited Hidake. This person had been the closest thing to a childhood friend he had ever known. She consoled him and Hidake's black mood calmed down somewhat. Through her efforts she managed to convince Hidake to accept the conditions. However, Hidake added one more. That he would be allowed in a room with the man who had murdered his father. He would also be able to do anything to him save taking his life. The Hokage found these demands to be more than reasonable. He thereby accepted them.
Hidake entered the room with a bottle that contained an acid. He assured the Hokage that this acid would not take the man's life. When Hidake left the room, the man was covered with many bruises. He even left a scar across his forehead. The scar read, "Murderer." Hidake had used the acid to write it, so that if he ever saw the man again he would know he was. He would then take his life. The man could see in the newly elected Kazekage's eyes that he would surely die if he ever tried to escape. With this in mind, the man would remain in prison for the rest of his days or so the Hokage hoped.
