I'm 21, and I work in a gym. I'm the housekeeper, so the gym is kept very clean. As much as I have looked at guys, I don't bother with asking them out due to professional reasons (and they are quite older than me). Also, I keep my looks simple, yet professional (aka, no make-up and hair in a ponytail) because of my job.
Well, we're also renovating. There's a group of nice construction guys that I kinda work with on a daily basis. They respect me (They clean up very well after themselves) and my position.
Well, one of them is just a tad older (by like, two-three years) and is very good looking, and single. I've known him since I started working there in March.
I too, am single.
My co-workers are hell bent on hooking me up with him, because we get along great. And all because I told them one day while discussing guys that I thought he was cute.
Yesterday, I went to my gym, on my day off, to work out. It was a surprise for some people (members and staff) to see me not in the black uniform with no make-up and hair pulled back. I walked in with capris, layered tank tops, and heels. I also just had a bit of make-up on.
I was getting rushed into the women's locker room to get changed by one of my co-workers/friend. I knew what was up to walk in to see the good-looking construction guy working in there on changing the sink fixtures. He did take a quick look and asked if I was coming to work. I said "Nope. Working out. Going to have to ask you to leave so that I can change. I'll let you know when you can come in."
So, worked out. Even helped the manager of the construction company with a door problem. Changed after letting the other construction guys know that I needed to change. After I called out I was dressed and leaving, no one answered. So I stepped out to the back hall (where they went) and ran into good-looking construction guy. I told him that it was safe to go back in to work and proceeded to leave. And yes, I caught him taking another quick look at me when we ran into each other.
I leave, I'm on my way home. And my co-worker texts me: "I gave the good-looking construction guy your number!"
...... Oh peachy.
I am about to start getting dressed for work, dreading the questions from him asking why he was given my number from my co-worker. But, I must travel through the locker room 50 times a day in order to get into the back room where my supplies are. Thus, I will run into him 50 times today (depending on if he's working in there).
What do I do?! O~O'

Well, I realise this is 6-7 hours later than you posted, but you definitely should just go with the flow. Find out if he likes you, you'll know if he texts you or calls you. Doesn't have to be a 'relationship', but you can go out on a couple dates. See what he's like. Get to know him better. If all seems...peachy ^^...than make it 'official' or whatever it's called now. smile Best of luck, and keep me...us...posted.

Well. It didn't go too bad.
He handed me back the slip of paper with my number and was honest with me. I was having a bad day at work. He said "I'm a busy guy with work, but I'll look you up sometime if I have the time. Thanks for the offer. Buddies?"
It made my day that there is an honest man out there who spent 15 minutes looking for me before leaving to go to Ohio for the weekend for something.

Ha, I don't see where any of that was a problem. A little social awkwardness is nothing to worry about if it's for the greater good.
