Art we do for fun: Graphics manipulation, text rendering, animating, and HTML/CSS and BB coding.
Favorite thing to do for the shop: I'll be doing my best to animate things.
One thing we wish we were better at in art: I wish I could effin' draw. D:

Most of everything on my deviantART was either made for me or favorited by me, but the gallery folders entitled AOL Profile Templates and RP Character banners are graphics manipulated by me. The templates were, originally, painstakingly coded to fit in profile boxes before AOL's profile system switched to Bebo. Fun times!
Examples of my current coding and text rendering skills can be found at my roleplay search thread. You can also see a great example of my HTML/CSS coding skills here, though the site is no longer in use.
This is a good example of my graphics manipulation skills though not the most consistent because I spent two days glued to my seat working on it. I made this banner for an unrealized message board roleplay called Dragon Tears based on Ancient China. The banner itself uses three pieces of stock imagery: the scroll, which I merely put everything on; the mountains, which used to be a photograph before several filters were applied and then it was colored; and the dragon, which used to be a CG image before several more filters were applied. The only thing I can lay any claim to in this banner is the janky-looking waterfall. I'm still not sure I like it, but I was pressed for time.

Start with the overworld tutorial those are the easiest and least time consuming. If you really like overworlds then you can try doing a full body but an overworld is great for those with a short attention span or those just testing the waters to see if they even like spriting shouldn't take more than 30 minutes your first time honestly ^^

It takes a while to work with it but some people get really good at it ^^
