xxxxxxxxxxIt all started that day. When you were walking home from school, work or whatever you were doing at the time, the faint sound of music and crying? You continued till you heard the sound of crying become wailing outside upon the streets as you entered your house.The wail continued to grow louder and louder, but all you would dare try to do is wait until it went away. After three hours of waiting, it never did stop, only became louder, the music and drums seeing as if they were almost in the room with you. As you got up and walk towards the door, there was a moment of hesitation however eventually you gripped the door knob and turned. Opening the door all you saw was the street and the flicker of lights in the the park across the street. Assuming it was just lanterns for some festival you shut the door and returned to bed.
xxxxxxxxxxThe next night, you heard the music once more, and the crying as well however it was accompanied by what seemed to be...chanting? No...it was talking a single persons voice echoing from down in the abandoned park. Turning you ignored it once more, playing it off as your imagination gone wild. ]The night after that, you hear the music once again outside your window, but it seems to grow louder and more louder. You head towards the window and lifted the curtains. Stumbling back after you saw a face, that was the same as one from an old news article you saw somewhere. Covering your mouth you didn't want to shout out or the neighbor woke up, when you stumble down to the floor to look up the window once again the face was gone. You couldn't sleep that night.
xxxxxxxxxxThe next day, when you headed towards school it seems as though a few people had the same problem you had, then one of them spoke in just a small tone, "Maybe... they came from that abandon mansion down in that park? You know...the one by the river...?" Wanting to find out what was causing them to act in such a sneaky manner, or maybe trying to see how you can fix this, you and some of your friends begin to head there packing your flashlight and other things you need. Once you enter the broken down building, your flashlight could barely work and the sound of music and chanting fills the entire building, you can't escape the doors after slamming behind you are locked tightly shut. The music stops and the chanting fades out as your flashlights power returns to normal. Trapped you have only two ways out now...

❊Swearing and violence is iffy.Keep the swearing to a minimum and do not have it in every sentence, as for violence lets try not to horribly scar people for the rest of their lives.
❊Romance is fine just don't fall in love immediately.Keep it real and dont just fall for each other in the first two pages unless a prearranged agreement by both parties states the characters are dating. Well that and this place is a home for many tragedies, rituals, and other darker secrets so love may be difficult to find.

And that camera is called, the Obscura Camera. The Camera Obscura is the main device (weapon) used to fight against the ghosts and spiritual entities encountered throughout the stories. The camera is one of many paranormal devices that has the ability to exorcise ghosts with films.
The Camera Obscura is still considered a dangerous object, as over-usage of the camera can inflict disastrous side-effects on its user. Overuse of the camera may result in the user being driven insane by what they see, and this can cause them to commit suicide.
There are three types of ghosts that roam the mansion. Take note that the ghosts will only appear at night except on certain special occasions. If you encounter a ghost, be sure to look at the color of their name. Here are the three colors that represent the threat levels of the ghosts: Peaceful, Endangered, Hostile / Deadly
Peaceful ghosts do not attack you and you are free to avoid them or take pictures of them to strengthen the camera obscura. Threatening ghosts will attack you and it is up to you if you want to take pictures and exorcise the ghost or run away and avoid taking damage. Deadly ghosts are very dangerous. They possess great spiritual power and they will place a curse on the current room you are in and you will be unable to run away from them until you successfully exorcise them with your camera. Remember this as you continue roaming the mansion.
In order to combat these ghosts you have to use the exorcising power of the camera obscura. I will be role playing as the different spirits that you encounter in the mansion and you will know whether or not the spirit I am currently rping as is targeting you or not. If I am targeting you, you will have to protect yourself.
To take a picture of the ghost roll one ten-sided die as I have done above. If it lands on an even number, the picture was successful and you managed to hurt the ghost. If it lands on an odd number, the picture was not successful and you did not hurt the ghost. Each ghost has an HP counter in the bottom corner of their post so you can keep tabs on how many more pictures you need to take of them before they are exorcised.
The strength of your camera depends on the number of ghosts that have been exorcised in mansion. At the start your camera will only do one hp damage per hit on an enemy. However for each ghost that is exorcised whether it be by you or someone else your camera's attack points will double. Keep that in mind. Be sure to check the ghost list to see how many ghosts have been exorcised and what the total camera attack power is currently at.
Ghosts can attack you as well and the same system applies to them. At the start, your character will have five hp. I will be posting announcements on when i'll be increasing everyone's hp depending on the situations you guys face. The ghosts will have an attack counter next to their hp counter telling you how much damage they do per hit. Be sure to keep an hp counter for your character somewhere in your posts to remind you how much hp your character has remaining. You can regain hp if you exit the mansion. However, you will not be able to reenter the mansion until the next night. If your character's hp drops to zero he/she will be put into a comatose state and you will not be able to post until someone rescues your character and takes them out of the mansion and into the hospital. Keep that in mind. Sometimes it's better to just run away.
It might be in your best interest to team up with your fellow photographers. You can do a lot more damage as a team and you will have someone there to help you in case you find yourself in a bind.
However, the Maruyama Family in this mansion WILL NOT DIE. You must put them to rest by finding out how in order to help then. The friendly siblings will help guide throughout the way.
