The cat rolled her eyes, standing up and jumping onto a rung of the ladder so she was at eye level with them. "You're right, cats can't talk. However, werecats can. And I'm only a cat at night, thank you. Anyways, you should trust me because there's a very real chance that your friend here can and will be found. As for the place- a previously abandoned mansion that me and a friend of mine live at. Whoever is chasing you will never think of looking there, plus, my friend is rather good with secrets." She paused, thinking over the questions she had asked. "Oh, and for the other questions, I'm Fydell, and I come here to hunt. I don't lik human food much, and packaged cat food stinks of rancid meat, so I eat mice. An trust me, you had quite an infestation before I came." After a moment, Fydell almost seemed to smile.

Amber and Violet were both astonished. "A werecat, huh," Violet muttered in amazement. While all this was happening Sidera had crept to the edge of the loft and watched the entire scene. The cat was probably right, that man was smart, he had been planning to do bad things to her, she could tell. He would check high and low for her and she needed a safer place to stay. The star shivered even though she didn't feel a bit cold. Just the thought of being in that room or seeing that man again made her legs turn to jelly and her light dim. "Puh- please. Show us where," she said to the cat from above. She spoke slowly, playing with her words, tasting each one. It was a strange thing, speaking, for she knew every language of every creature but she had never needed to speak them before. The girl, Amber, looked up at her, amazement clearly visible on her face. It must have been an odd night for her, though she probably didn't understand most of what was going on. Sidera would have to bless her with something once this whole ordeal was over and she was a star again, though she wasn't quite sure if that future was a possibility anymore. "Well, you heard the girl! Show us where this hiding place is!" Violet agreed, wanting to get out of the stinky and dank barn. "Hold up Vi, we still have to wait for Flynn, we can't just ditch him," Amber said in annoyance. Violet sighed, "Oh yeas, him. I was hoping we could just forget about him, but whatever. We can wait for him if you seem so inclined."

Flynn was running as fast as he could, having hidden his motorcycle where no one else would look for it. He was getting quite tired until he saw the barn in sight. He then slowed to a jog, slowly entering the barn and seeing the two girls and a...cat? "Is she....safe?" he asked, out of breath as he placed his hand on his knees, bending down and catching his breath. He managed to sneak out of the house well, but he knew it was only a matter of time that the man hunts her down. Once he caught his breath, he stood up, looking at the ceiling, then at Amber. She did help him get her out and was rather nice, different from all the other girls he had met. He had a casual smile on his face before taking a piece of paper and writing down a few things, "I said I'd give you something in return, so here it is. Call this number and ask for a William Hamilton. Tell him that you have found Vincent and he will ask for a location. In return, you get a reward. Now..." he looked at the cat, pointing at it before looking over to the two girls, "A pet of yours or is he just a visitor?" The Hamilton family is a rich family where they had everything. The man of the house was a general surgeon, his wife a five star chef, the eldest son being an astronomer for NASA, but as for his second son, rumor has it that he went missing. Other rumors were that he committed suicide or he went to prison. The family hasn't mentioned him since.

Fydell rolled her eyes again, padding towards the doorway. "I am not a he, thank you. And I belong to no human! No! I am a mighty werecat!" She exclaimed, much more dramatic than most would like. "And I, your mighty werecat guide, will take you to the hiding spot!" She said, looking over at Sidera. There was something different about her, and she didn't smell like most humans. She had a certain glow coming off of her that Fydell admired. She then used her tail to gesture to follow, looking up at Flynn. "If you have any questions, ask those two. I don't feel like explaining again," she said, before padding out the barn door, making sure that they kept up, and she headed for Phantasos's mansion.

Violet giggled when Flynn got the lecture from Fydell. It was strange when she giggled, because she normally wasn't the type, but a giggle's a giggle nontheless. Amber glanced at Flynn when he walked in, but she was mostly concerned with Sidera. She must have still been a bit numb, so how would she get down? Just as she was about to go up and get her, the girl leaped from the loft and caught the rafter like Amber did. She flipped all around it a couple times, obviously enjoying herself, before landing perfectly fine on the floor of the barn. Amber's jaw dropped, "How did you-? Where did you learn that?" The girl laughed, "You!" Violet stared at Sidera, "You were just numb five minutes ago though, how is that possible?" She frowned, "Numbness wore off. Let's go?" Amber just shook her head, "Um, yeah, let's- let's go." They passed Flynn who was still catching his breath and she gestured for him to follow. What an odd evening. At least she'd be passing High School...

Fydell expertly weaved the path, constantly adjusting her speed so she was only a few feet in front them. It took three alleys, a few backcountry roads, and many short, yowled conversations with other werecats, Fydell padded up the familiar walkway and then disappeared through the catflap a moment. She ran through the house, heading to the living room, where she found Phantasos with Rexy. The plastic dinosaur was busy devouring plush dolls when Fydell found him. In a moment, Fydell jumped on the table and sat on the plush dolls, looking specifically at his eyes. One red, one blue, as usual. "We have guests," she said. He looked up at her, then, hesitating, he scratched behind her ear and grinned, standing up and taking Rexy to open the door. He arrived at the door and opened it, before he bowed and said "Hello! I'm Phantasos! How are you doing? Do you happen to have any plastic food? This plush isn't sitting well in Rexy's stomach." Phantasos gazed off, somehow seeming elsewhere for a moment before he continued. "Anyways; I'm sure that if you want to stay, you can take any room except for mine... Fydell sleeps elsewhere. Well, you may wake up to a dinosaur in your face, but he's quite harmless."

When the man opened the door, the first thing Amber noticed were his eyes. One was red and the other was blue. Strange, she thought. But it wasn't the strangest thing she'd seen that day. The man started rambling about plastic dinosaurs and something called Rexy, snapping her back to reality. "Uhm, well we only need a place for two people to stay here. Violet and I have to get home." Violet nodded behind Amber, a serious look on her face. Sidera read the man's face. He could be trusted. She stepped forward. "I am Sidera." It was very dark out and she couldn't see very well so she allowed her light to shine bright. "I'm sorry, it's just so dark." She noticed the two girls staring at her, jaws dropped. "Wow," Amber gasped, her voice as quiet as a whisper.

Flynn followed closely before seeing the building. He was a bit spaced before the man opened the door. He looked at him, instantly seeing that he wasn't going to harm them. In fact, he seemed cheerful and happy like a little child. "Thank you for your hospitality, Phantasos. I'm Flynn." His voice was very casual, almost gentleman like, not the voice he spoke to Amber and Violet with. His eyes narrowed a bit, trying to think of what he's going to do after here. He really didn't have anywhere else to go, unless...Amber called that number. She would get a reward, but that would mean he will be trapped...again.

Phantasms grinned, even while Sidera glowed, causing Fydell to gasp. Instead, he walked into the crowd, after putting Rexy on a nearby side table. "Sidera, Flynn," he said, tasting the names in his mouth before he smiled and quickly whipped around and walked inside, picking up Rexy and gesturing for them to follow. He picked Rexy back up and walked to the kitchen before he turned around and asked "Are you hungry?"

When the man asked if they were hungry, Sidera remembered the gnawing feeling in her new stomach. She hadn't been quite sure what it was, and she was convinced it was just the straps cutting into her skin, but the pain came from the inside, so eventually she confirmed it was hunger. As her stomach grumbled she nodded eagerly and thought, A meal sounds good about now! She had never eaten before and was interested about the experience. Her throat was parched so she had a hard time speaking, but she asked anyways, "What does it feel like... to eat?" She remembered the noise of the voices she heard when they ate. It sounded like satisfaction and she glowed brighter when the people circling around her were happy and healthy. She cared very much for her people, she blessed them as only a star could bless, and listened to their voices every day. She glanced at the man, Phantasos with curiosity. What a peculiar man, she thought. It seemed as though he had a strange obsession with his plastic dinosaur, not to mention his eyes were two different colors, something not seen on this planet. Amber stood still for a moment, watching Sidera and Flynn disapear inside the building with Phantasos. "Well, this has certainly been an interesting night, now let's head home! I'm tired," Violet said with a yawn. But Amber wasn't really focusing on her friend. "I wonder about that girl. I mean, she glows! Did you not just see her glow, like, like a light bulb!" Violet rolled her eyes, "Yes, of course I saw her glow, she was too bright to miss! There's definitely something strange about her, that cat, that man, heck, maybe there's something supernatural about that boy too," she snorted. "C'mon Amber, we have to go to school tomorrow anyways. Let's go home and get some rest, otherwise we might not make it all the way back." She turned back down the alley and started walking the direction they came. Amber nodded warily and followed her friend, watching the door Sidera and Flynn had gone through until it disappeared in the darkness. Something told her they'd cross paths again.

Phantasms grinned when he heard her stomach growl, and he pulled out the essentials for sandwiches- bread, ham, and cheese. "I'm sorry, it's a little too late to make something better. I hope you don't mind," he said, making a sandwich and handing it to Sidera. Then he looked over at Flynn and gave him a questioning look, while Fydell jumped up and sat on the fridge, looking down on all if them and purring with amusement. Phantasos looked up at her, then handed her the plastic dinosaur, which she gripped in her teeth. "Can you take Rexy to my room and put him in his bed? I don't want him embarrassing me in front of my guests," he whispered to her.

Flynn watched Sidera before seeing that the man was looking at him. He felt a bit uneasy, but he knew that he was safe as long as he was in this manor...for now. He looked at the bread, ham and cheese, but he simply did not have an appetite. "...Is there something wrong?" he finally asked Phantasos. He didn't want his stay to be like this for the whole time he was there. He thought it would be a good idea to get to know this guy.

Phantasos grinned back at him- mostly sincere, but it had a hint of insanity in it. He then went back to the sandwiches, making himself one, the putting the ingredients away. "Nothing's wrong. I just don't want Rexy embarrassing me again," he said. Then he looked at the sandwich thoughtfully, taking a bite out of it, before he felt an odd feeling in his red eye- the feeling he usually got when it began to turn blue. He put his hand over his eye, focusing on not letting it change color and hoping that it wouldn't happen while he had guests.
