I could never stop playing, lol. XD But what's Pokemon? Pokemon is a popular japenese anime with about 14 seasons so far and millions of fans. The anime (which is about half as popular as the games) is about a boy named ash who lives in the Kanto region of the pokemon world, a world which odd creatures named pokemon who can shoot lightning and stuff. I honestly play the game a bit more than watch the show though but anyway this kid Ash want to become a 'pokemon master' and therefor travels all over the kanto region as well as other regions like johto sinnoh and hoenn to learn, catch and raise pokemon.

There are several evil organizations in the different regions (mostly he contends with Team Rocket) who steal Pokemon or use them in bad ways.(or both) Team Rocket constantly try to steal his electric rodent/mouse Pokemon Pikachu because it's quite strong. They also try to steal other strong Pokemon to give to the head of Team Rocket. Who I guess seems to lazy, to me, to raise his own. < that is my interpretation of the Rocker boss. But Ash and friends help others with Pokemon and save the day. But if you look @ it in you view it could seem to be 'slaves' but Ash has set free some of his Pokemon (some really strong ones) and care if his get hurt. Once again it could be viewed as wrong because in real life fighting animals wrong. In the Pokemon show they are not fought to the death, they fight until one gets knocked out, or passes out.

The hero?! Say I own a plantation and use slaves to do stuff for me. Whether or not they are worked hard or have bad conditions, they're slaves. If I make people work for me, and don't pay them, they're slaves. Whether I'm nice to them or not, maybe even rewarding them, they're still my slaves. Though, I can't imagine pitting them against each other is very nice... If they enjoy it, they're being used and just simply don't understand the situation, for the worse. Kind of like how you can raise a whole society with time and make the new generations believe whatever you want, as long as they don't communicate with the outside world, and all the founders who live there don't spill anything. These pokemon are in the same situation, they don't know what it's like to do anything but fight, so they think it's normal to get hurt and don't question their masters' decisions. This Pokemon show sounds evil. Just immoral and corrupted. I mean, pitting these creatures to fight each other.. How isn't that wrong?

If this was real life they be in much trouble because fighting animals isn't right, if they fight to the death or not. And I'm not trying to be raciest or here but in Japan and other countries they do not look at animal rights they way we do, I'm not say all people from Japan see it that way but as a whole the Country see it like that. Then I could be wrong, but there are plenty of countries who don't see animal fighting as cruel. I don't agree with them, animals feel pain and have a certain amount of emotions(might not be to our level of them) and can figure things out. We don't speak their language but the communicate with each other (and us if we took time to really observe them) they have the right o live free of abuse and misuse, Bur not all people will see it that way. And I think it's sad. I love animals. I think they are interesting and worthy of living here as much as we do. I do see were you come from. In this world Ash and company would be in Juvenal corrections and family's slapped fines if they were caught. I don't think it's a good impression to give to young children about animals- even thought they are not real. But I also think there shows out there billed for kids that should not be for them until they get older. I'm off my soapbox. Thank goodness Pokemon are not real. I'd love a Chairzard to be real but as a companion, not to fight it. It would be awesome to fly on one.

I'd love a Chairzard to be real but as a companion, not to fight it. It would be awesome to fly on one. I was just kidding actually. Though I was referencing N. He was raised away from society, and when he "corrected" himself at the end of the game, I was like "Da ********? He's right in his thinking, whether he was being used by Team Plasma or not..." (And if he didn't correct himself but instead retired his plans, I apologize. I can't remember exactly how it went.) And he is, but the show is just based off simplicity. Simplicity that lets the show remain as it is- a place where pokemon fight for trainers. It was like a big paradox when N entered the fray. As he was questioning whether it was right or not, which it isn't right, it just doesn't matter, as it's a game/anime, and not real life. (And if he did just "retire", it was a way to avoid the whole "is it right?" argument, as he wouldn't declare himself wrong, but rather re-think his ideals because it was originally Team Plasma who put it in his head). Though, I wouldn't think Japan values animals less than Americans, but I wouldn't really know. And yes, I know you mean overall, but even then, I wouldn't know. Though, if they actually thought this storyline made sense, then yes, I would imagine they do value animals less. XD And by the way, I agree with Americans valuing animals higher, but to the point that it's dumb. Like, PETA for example. They just push for more and more "rights" for animals. They just do everything they can to get more. But in the end, animals can't report you anyway, and don't really need the same rights. They don't work, they can never be able to vote, and are just honestly inferior. All they really need is humane living conditions. Anything else is bonus to them. Animals don't build cities, and they naturally live in the wild, and the wild isn't exactly kind to them. Living there, they can die any day of the week easily. PETA might as well campaign for "wrongs" for animals. It's more accurate to be honest. I mean, PETA once petitioned for it to be illegal to call your animals "pets", but rather "animal companions" as it's degrading to them. Newsflash, animals don't have a clue what the hell we're saying, only the emotions we put into what we say. And "pets" is one syllable, whereas "animal companions" is 6.... No one is ever going to say that. Ever. I bet most PETA supporters still call animals pets. Not that everyone here is as nutty as PETA, but everyone knows who they are, so they're obviously going to have some kind of influence on society. How the hell did we get from a trade request to not knowing what Pokemon was to PETA losers? No idea. XD EDIT: Nevermind, this topic has posts by me, so of course it's going to be weird and random. Duh.
