The Devs were brainstorming yesterday, regarding a potential Guilds update.
It's too much effort to make large outright changes to Guilds, but we can make smaller changes incrementally.
A good idea for a first change is to allow Guilds to purchase new "upgraded" Forums/Subforums. These "upgraded" ones would act like the public forums do now: YouTube tags, subscriptions, notifications, etc. They would use the exact same BBCode Parser as the majority of the site.
This would allow Guilds to upgrade at their own discretion, and not be forced to change BBCode parsers (and some post formatting) against their will. It would also act as a gold sink and would potentially help revive Guilds a little.
Discuss.

Kind of a nice idea as we do need more gold sinks but it still feels like the guilds are having to pick up the slack for years of abandonment which isn't really the fault of the owners. I mean that's like making people that play the classic games pay (with gold) for updated content. I mean really those codes should work anyway since they have already been added to the guilds.
