Matt Striker: I’m here with Mike Landry. This is the first time he’s spoken to the public about the situation involving his newborn son Matthias and the mother, Phoenixfire.

Mike Landry: Thanks Matt, but I’m not going to even try to refer to her by that stage name. This is a serious matter, and I’m going to refer to her by her real name.

Striker: No problem Mr. Landry. Now tell us, what’s going through your mind with this obviously taxing situation?

Landry: It hit me like a brick wall. I didn’t care that I lost the Number One Contenders match off of a distraction, in fact it made me proud that Brody was willing to do whatever it took to win. All I knew was that I had a son, a beautiful baby boy, and that he was in the arms of an incredibly suggestible young woman and a man who for some reason was out to make my life a living hell.

Striker: So what is your most crushing concern at this point if you lose this match to Chrono Clepsydra at the next Pay Per View?

Landry: My concern? Matt, you’re a father. I’ve met your beautiful daughters, had dinner with your family. Now imagine for me how you would feel if someone burst into your home, someone you knew professionally, and beat the hell out of you. He continued to beat you down until every bone in your body was broken and there was nothing you could do to defend yourself. Then, that person takes your family away from you…because you weren’t strong enough. Because you weren’t good enough. How would you feel? It would make you feel powerless, worthless, unworthy of life…if you could not protect your family.

Striker: That truly is a horrible thing to imagine, I~I~I’m sorry that you’re going through all of this. Do you have a plan to get through this?

Landry: I’ve never faced Chrono in the ring, be it singles or tag team competition, even in a multi-person match. But there is one thing I know, and that’s that Chrono likes to think he’s the smartest person in the world. A guy like that doesn’t go into a match without a plan or insurance. I have to be ready for anything he can throw at me. You think a man who isn’t above hiding behind an infant wouldn’t cheat in a match for custody? I have to have eyes in the back of my head, I have to know everything about him in a very short amount of time, because if I lose…for any reason…I’m done. I lose everything. I lose my son. I will not…let that happen. I will not lose my son. I won’t let that psychopath raise MY child.

Landry was visibly angry about the situation and Matt turned the camera away from him to avoid pushing him further.

Striker: Thank you Mike. I honestly wish you the best of luck with this match. Back to you guys.

The camera fades and the attention is turned back to the ring for the show to continue.
