Lets say you've just finished a custom profile for someone and you want to give it to them, right? How do you go about doing so? The Code is easy, but how do you get the images across? Do you host the images yourself so that you don't have to change the code or do you left the other gaian host it themselves and edit the Code after you know where the images are?
Perhaps there is a better way?

I host them on a free site (namely imageshack), so that I don't have to use my photobucket bandwith, and I don't have to worry about them screwing with the code to put images back in on their own server. 3nodding

When I make profiles for people I send them the codes and images in a zip file through YSI or e-mail if I know them.

I actually was wondering the same thing. eek
Though, I haven't had the opportunity to make profiles for other people, really sweatdrop . I've been asked, but somehow, I have problems with trying to fit all the information while also making it dressy. I need to work on that.
Anyway, I like the idea of a zip file...and just making explicit where they're supposed to go somehow through either PM/E-Mail or a text file in the zip file. 3nodding

I just put the images on imageshack.us. Upload, copy/paste the address, and you never have to worry about space or bandwidth.

When my friend sent me the code.. she sent me a PM and put the coding using the [ code ] thing.. the images were sent over IM's. I upload all my images to photobucket. (also a free site.. so tell your friend to get an account there and upload their own images)
Then on the code just to make it easy... sghe titled each image for where it goes. then in the code itself she would put ... PUT MAIN BG URL HERE in blod just like that.

Aha! So it's actually a lot easier then I thought. I suppose I just like taking the long way round blaugh I always worry about hosting the images on places like imageshack though: what happens if they get broken gonk I don't mind so much if it's my own stuff, but if it's someone elses profile and the images break, I feel really bad.

Imageshack hardly ever goes down. Not nearly as much as photobucket does anyways. I've only seen bandwith exceeded on imageshack by a thing or two, and if that's the case, they can contact you and hopefully you can re-upload the images. Basically, you're taking that risk no matter what you do.

I have probably around 10 free image hosts that require no sign up bookmarked.
If you want a list, just ask. 3nodding
