I am trying to make a spellcaster lockdown deck that takes advantage of Cybernetic Magician's and Copycat's abilities. Could you help me make it better and have a legal number of cards? Thank you for your help in advance.

not sure if your running a good idea or not. maybe you should try something else. i know royal decree + Secret Village of the Spellcasters makes a nice lock. all you need then is something to negate monster effects.

1: The Legal limit for deck size is 40-60 cards. Thin it a bit.
2: How is Cybernetic Magician or Copycat work with Lockdown?
3: If this really is a lockdown deck please explain to me how you run it because it doesn't look anything like one to me.

if you read the first post, she already stated she knows9it's over the legal limit. she wants helps thining it.

I'm currently running a Spellcaster Lockdown deck on the dueling network and here are some cards that could help you:

Secret Village of the Spellcasters + Terraforming
Run 2 copies of each card. This would ensure you a good chance of drawing it right away. Play it as soon as you get it except when facing Gravekeepers. Wait for your opponent to play Necrovalley first then on your turn, change the field.

Royal Decree
I don't use any other traps in this deck that's why I have 3 copies of this.

Spell Counter Spellcasters
Breaker, Defender, and Crusader. Very effective especially when you have 2 copies of Gemini summoned Crusaders on the field. This is my main offensive line along with Dark Valkyria (unfortunately, she's a fairy type). Run 2 copies of each aside from Crusader (I suggest 3 for this guy since you won't be using Magical Citadel of Endymion)

Jowgen the Spiritualist
Probably one of your best cards in the deck. This guy could easily destroy special summoned monsters at a cheap price and what's more is that there won't be anymore special summons as long as he's face-up! He's got a very weak atk and def so you better protect him w/ your Magician's Valkyrias. I run 2 copies.

Magical Mallet
For some reason I prefer this card rather than Duality

Chaos Sorcerer
When all else fails...

- You could have a rough early game since you don't have much swarming capabilities as archetypes that specializes on those.

- I noticed that you don't have an extra deck however I suggest you add Arcanite Magician and Tempest Magician (I'm not fond of Explosive Magician) along with level 2 tuners like Frequency Magician or Night's End Sorcerer. Works well with The Tricky too!

- I've never used Angel 07 with this deck but I guess if you're going for effect lockdown then this is the best I could suggest. Use Star Blast to summon this card w/ no tributes.

@brotherofAnubus: Cybernetic Magician could attack monsters with high attack power without being attacked himself while the lockdown is up. -.- Copycat could use his ability and/or Cybernetic Magician's ability to take down high attack power monsters while being safe from being attack.

@axean: Well, it could work with the right combo. Anyway, thanks for the tip.
