A blond head ducked behind a rack of dresses. There was a small rustle of clothes being sorted away, than the unmistakable sound of a curse being uttered as the blond head surfaced, a hand rubbing the top of it. How does one manage to bang their head on the hangers? The tiny woman at the racks frowned. Letting her hand drop, she moved her body away from the clothes, the twin tails showing under her skirt swishing idlely.

This new clothing store wasn't proving to be good enough for Hera's fine tastes. It was all too girlie. With the writing across the front or back of the pants. She didn't need words to get men to stare at her assets. This wasn't a store for her.

Shouldering her purse, the Uxie left and stopped a few feet outside the boundaries of the new store. She had decided to take a day off to spend a little of her paycheck at the mall. She was certain her boss wouldn't be too pleased with her for doing so. But she didn't care. There was nothing her boss could currently do that would harm her in any way.

There were people watching her. Most of the attention seemed focused on the twin tails under her skirt. A few of the men seemed to have interest in their eyes as they stared at the low collar of her top. Hera made a face. She was well aware she looked more like a teenager than a grown woman. It always disgusted her a little when humans did that. At the same time, she liked her body. It was easy to cloth.

However, Hera was tired of clothing shopping. She hadn't found anything yet, today. And she missed breakfast to chase down a certain fella. It had left her feeling more drained than any other activity.

Yellow eyes fixed upon a little cafe to her left. A little something to eat would be in order.

Though many centuries of years old, Gene was only a child to this new civilization. Cars were an unnecessary obstacle (though he had stolen several), the food was full of disgusting oil. It was now time for him to tackle the palace that was the mall, an extensive building full of treasures from around the world. The doors slide open on their own as he approached them, clearly sensing his superiority. He couldn't help the smirk that came to his face.

Patrons stopped in place as Gene walked passed them, seemingly oblivious to their existence. Nearly seven feet of toned physique, garbed in his purple warrior's attire. If the muscled behemoth wasn't enough to stop them in their tracks, the steel claws that supported the menacing stature above was. And, of course, the three foot long cannon that was strapped to his back by a long strap of leather. The stares of those he passed, concerned mutterings between the packs of humans, didn't phase him. It was good for them to be aware of who truly was in charge.

Rather hard to believe that the one he was looking for was so small in comparison to most of these pions. Gene had caught her in larger stadiums, in the open air. She might as well have laid herself down on the tallest structures and spread her legs. Here she was in a cage and unable to escape him. Her scent was still fresh in his nostrils from the morning and there was no doubt in his mind she was present in these corridors. Why she would choose to be here, he wasn't sure and wasn't bothering himself with the question. Hera wasn't prone to intelligent decisions.

Red eyes targeted the one subtle shift of two pronged tails. In one swift charge, Gene practically flew down the hall, his feet racing to catch up with her. His prey was completely unprepared, even having her back turned to him. A foolish mistake on her part. It was... too easy. "Have you lost your touch for this already?" Gene growled when he finally stopped in front of her, arms crossed in front of his chest as he looked down.

Hera could see the cafe clearly in her yellowed eyed vision. Just a bit more and her rumbling stomach could be satisfied. Then she'd continue with her little shopping trip. There was nothing she absolutely had to get. Her paycheck had been delivered to her bank account just yesterday and she ached for something new. The new store had been a bust. But that didn't mean her regular stops didn't have something new and more to her style. Perhaps the lingerie store. One could never have too many of those.

What the Uxie didn't expect was to run into something old and used.

She had heard him coming, of course. The giant scrap metal wasn't exactly quiet on his feet. Not that she blamed him, with such heavy legs as those. Until the moment he was in front of her, Hera ignored Gene's approach. She was aware it was a beeline to her he was making. Why he was in a mall, she wasn't sure. But she knew it couldn't mean anything good.

"I would have thought that would sustain you for a while," was her sultry reply, raising her eyes from his muscular form. As that was all she could see at normal eye level. There was an almost kind smile on her face, if not a little inviting. Force of habit, really. In truth, she wasn't in the mood to deal with him. At least not while she was hungry. But months of their game of cat and mouse had taught her exactly how to deal with him. Though it certainly didn't make getting away any easier, sometimes. "Or did big bad Gene miss little me? Perhaps I should be trying a little...Harder."
