Clara Braybrooke
FIRST YEAR - UNSORTED
Clara felt a tickle through her stomach and she and Amelia boarded the train. Her feelings were all over the place, but it didn't stop her smile. Soon enough she'd be at Hogwarts, settling in. However, she found herself biting her bottom lip a little. The girls continued down the hallway until Amelia found a free carriage. She also noticed that her sister had gone quiet so Clara let out the first question that came to her brain. Hopefully, it would distract her from being anxious.
“You think Noah will be okay without us?” Clara asked Amelia as they moved into the compartment.
Amelia smiled. “Yeah, he’s got Evie to keep him company. She might have a stuffy for him too. Plus three dogs, six horses, and how ever many magical creatures he sees at work.”
It was true. There was never a short of creatures, magical and otherwise, in the Braybrookes' lives. She sat down next to Amelia and crossed her legs. She then let her owl, Marshmallow, climb onto her leg as she began rubbing the downy feathers on her belly. She was preparing to ask Amelia another question when the cabin door opened and she heard a small voice.
Another girl, probably the same age as Clara, came through the door and asked to join them. "Sure! We've got plenty of room." They could probably fit at least four more people in if they needed. As the girl got closer Clara noticed that her eyes were all red. A sure sign of crying. She thought about asking what the matter was, but if she were anything like Amelia that wouldn't get her anywhere. "I'm Clara and this is my sister Amelia." Clara thought for another moment, she then grabbed her new plushie. "This is Moochi. Would you like to hold him for a little bit?" Maybe some snuggles would help with whatever the girl's problem was.
