Jace ran into the open door of the well lit workshop and took a look around. There were work tables and shelves upon shelves of tools. The mechanist's hands began to shake with excitement. Not able to contain himself, Jace forgot all about the voice he had followed and ran up to a table to begin inspecting the tools at his disposal.

Following the boy, Jace, from the Training Zone, Caleb sighed as he moved toward the table that Jace was at. This workshop was his pride and joy, though his creations are limited due to his habit of creating machines that often blew up or turned on him. He grinned when he saw Jace becoming over excited at the table. There were several prototypes he drew up but could not finish at his current level, "You, my friend will be revered in this town if you do things right. I beleive we are in need of a new Captain of the Guard as well, so once you rank up to Adept, we can talk to Conner."
"First up, I want you to learn a few basic skills, after this you will create a machine of your own. This machine will be your first one as a soldier of Luray, and should be treasured. The first skill, is Magnetize. For this skill, you must come into contact with the metal, then insert energy upon contact. Once you do that, you can move it around as you please, or stop it from moving completely. This is useful for a number of reasons, if you see a combatant with armor, all your have to do is just touch their armor once, then you have control over their only defense."
((One Post to learn)) Magnetize Rank: D Description: The basic skill for the Mechanist. They would first need to come into contact with the metal object they desire to magnetize. They release some energy into it and then they can move it around as desired. They can only move the object, or stop it from moving they cannot manipulate it in any other way.

Jace looked up as the voice from before was now accompanied with a body. The young mechanist was baffled when this instructor began talking of the possibility of him becoming great. Jace had never considered the possibility of being powerful before. When the instructor got around to mentioning that he would learn some techniques and begin building machines, Jace immediately perked up and listened to the instructions. After he was given the instructions, Jace nodded and turned to face a large wrench that was sitting on the work bench. He placed his hand on the solid metal tool and began to focus. Jace knew he had the power inside him to do magic, he had just never used it before. So he concentrated and focused on moving his energy through his hand and into the wrench. Rather quickly Jace began to feel a slight hum from the wrench. He pulled his hand away and lifted it up. As he moved his hand and focused on the wrench, it began following his hand motions. Jace couldn't help but smile as he had just learned his first bit of magic ever.

[ http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=21314307Use the link above to tell me what you want to learn next. As a trainee, you can learn one C Ranked skill and a bunch of D Ranked and E Ranked. For the Tool Tinkering, you'll need a Cleric, luckily for you we have an Adept Cleric. ]

((I'm not interested in replacing my limbs. I'm just going to do gadgets I can wear so I shouldn't need a cleric, right? I want to learn the add-on creation as my C-rank and then learn to make scopes. After that I want to build my scope with the HUD. I've thought about this :p ))

[Ah okay, so you'll learn Add On creation first, then if you want to learn elemental skills I'll teach you them, or you can submit a custom machine in the customs forum.]

((Yeah so teach me the add-on skill and then we'll do earth stuff while I apply for a custom machine.)) Jace turned back to his new teacher after putting the magnetically controlled wrench back on the work table. This skill would definately be useful later on, but the mechanist wanted something a little more useful. "Can you teach me how to build any machines for combat?"
