SKETCHBOOK RIPOFF OH MY GOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD

k so I wrote a poem and wanted to post it here, and then I noticed that like 35% of the threads in here are people who wrote poems (or short stories) and wanted to post them here.

So I figured we could make a poem/short story dump instead of a bunch of threads that get one or two replies and die. k? k. cool.

A candlelight in darkness
Can brighten all the room
But shadows chase no candle 'cause
Its flame they can't consume
I smile at frowning shadows
And watch the sorrow flee
I breathe out fear like acrid smoke
And breathe love into me
A candlelight in darkness
A single flame alone
Can hold on to its warmth and strength
And shine on on its own
My flame can't ever flicker
My flame can't ever die
The sun needs neither wick or wax
To light up all the sky
A candlelight in darkness
Can fend off all the night
We've all got candles in our hearts
That we can choose to light
So shine with warmth and passion
So burn bright 'cause you can
'Cause fire's been our closest friend
Right from the dawn of man
A candlelight in darkness
Can chase the night away
But even in the deepest dark
The flame will always stay.
