 Sims 2 - Made to make music videos/videos and more easier to use. The Sims look more skinnier and normal. Sims 3 - More of a reality type of game. It looks really realistic. But I wouldn't consider it to use for making videos. Also the Sims look a little more chunkier and weird. If you realize it, when you see Sims in the Sims 3, they all look alike each other from there faces.

Of Sims, Sims 2, Sims 3 and even Sims Social (which my other Sims obsessed friend introduced me to) Sims 2 is still my favourite.
And I agree, the characters, items and places in Sims 3 are more realistic and there are more options in customizing them, but they just look weird to me. And I don't really like that you can't just download new outfits and what not from the website as in Sims 2, cause they want you to pay for the different styles. :/
