A seemingly dark tale of possible epic proportions. Enjoy.

Rakai
Rakai lifts his head from the grass and tosses his head to settle his long silvery mane back into place. His keen, green eyes then swept over those in the area. He was rather glad that none of them and seemed to notice him and pester him with unwanted attention. Especially that of the sort a human would offer. He gave a small snort in disgust and flicked his silver tail. Though the company of an Azrein, could possibly prove to be entertaining.

Kainda
"Disgusting...isn't it?" Kainda came forward from his left side in his clear view, her blue mane and tail gliding and shifting with her movements. A look of toxin seemed to mask her features as she stared at the group of Azrein and humans, horn seemed to be aimed toward them. "Even if some of them have chosen not to...bond," The word seemed to be dripping acid as she spoke. "it's still a revolting thought." Her red eyes glanced over to the lightening male, a small grin on her face. "Don't you agree, Stallion?"

Rakai
Raikai turned his head to look at the striking orange azrien as she approached from his left. He was silent at her first comment as his narrow green eye gave her a quick once over, assessing her thoroughly. He liked the toxic look in the mares eyes and the general distaste that her entire being was resonating. "It is truly revolting that any Azrein would even contemplate such a 'bond' with beings as disgusting as a human." He said in a cool, silky voice turning his narrow eyes to glare at the gaggle of humans and imagining Kainda's horn impaling each and every one of them. A small, twisted smile crept onto his face, green eyes sparkling maliciously.

Kainda
"Why would they do such a thing? Give up their spirits and pride and freedom for..a weak two-legged thingy?" She snorted shaking her head violently. "It just doesn't make sense to me.." Dark eyes looked over toward his with a cruel smile. "I bet they squeal louder than they can boast. Their weak bodies are nothing against Azrein hooves," Kainda stretched her neck as if aiming toward them. "Alas, this plane is too civil for my liking. The times of simply killing just to kill is not generally noticed with understanding eyes anymore." The striped orange mare with the storm blue hair looked over to the dark and cruel male. "I'm Kainda. What's your poison, Dark Heart?"

Rakai
"Why, indeed." Rakai said coldly, a drop a venom hidden behind his words. He turned his head to look back at the mare, meeting her dark eyes. His smile twisted into a grin, a dark laugh escaping him as she stretched her neck toward the group, as if aiming to fulfill his bloody vision. "Human screams have a satisfying ring to them." He said smoothly, remembering the sounds of the humans he had personally taken the lives of. His eyes gleaming at the memory, but he was quick to regain his dark charm. "Dark heart, huh. I like that." He said silky tossing his long silver mane. "It's nice to meet someone of such a like mind, Kanida. I'm called Rakai." He replied giving her a twisted smile.

Kainda
His laugh, oh how it made her spine quiver with excitement and attraction. This was a male that was strong in mind if not in body. Maybe she could get to like his company instead of simply tolerating it as she was now. the mare stood tall and proud, pawing at the ground viciously with her hooves attacking and uprooting the poor, defenseless grass. "Oh? I'd love to hear it one day. I've heard enough screams of our kind..." Again with the acid tone to her voice and if the mare could growl she probably would. Only a strong snort would have to suffice. "I only call you what I see... Her dark smile mirrored his black grin and as he called her name, she whinnied. "Yes. That's me. Kainda. Rakai is it? Funny. Our names sound the same if you...imagine hard enough...wonder why that is.. Her voice now dripped with seduction and promises as she came closer riding around him. His hair was longer than hers, that was a bit of an agitation, but he was handsome with a twisted heart. "Tell me of yourself, if you don't mind Rakai." This was an ally she was hoping to snag.

Rakai
Rakai's expression shifted somewhat admiring Kainda's dark, fiery spirit. "Oh, I'm sure you will have the opportunity." He said in his silky voice. Another dark laugh escaped him after her statement of only calling what she sees. "Yes, Rakai." He confirmed at her question, but making no comment on the rest of her statement. His eyes narrowed and his expression became ever so slightly more charming. Two could play this mare's game and this game proved to be both fun and beneficial. He tossed his head, causing his long mane to flow through the air like liquid silver, as she trotted around him. He gave her a coy grin. "What do you wish to know of me, Kainda?" He asked, his silky tone carrying a tone of seduction as well.

Kainda
"Will you supply me with one?" She asked quite sure that maybe if he planned, she could make it happen. "I wonder what it would be like to meet these...Six that I keep hearing about." Kainda murmured thinking things over a little. His voice caught her attention yet again, back quivering a little as he spoke. Oh those nice little chills made her fire burn hotter. And speaking of burning hotter, Rakai wasn't so bad to look at. "Of your hatred. Why so strong? An endless void no one dare touch it seems." The orange mare stared him in the eyes as she came up in front of him, red eyes studying his green ones. "Maybe you are one of the fabled Six yourself. She teased. He seemed to be interested in her...or maybe feigning interest. Either way, she was the only female around and Kainda would make sure to keep it that way for now. She'd probably get bored eventually.

Rakai
"I may well do just that." His silky voice tainted with a dark truth. He had a way of getting rid of those he didn't like without actually having to dirty his hooves. His thoughts shifted slightly at her mention of the Six. He too wanted to meet the legendary human hating Azrein. However he chose not to comment about them as of yet. He swished his silvery tail as she asked for the answer as to why his hatred was so strong. "If it seems an endless void that none dare touch, why do you approach it?" He smoothly countered the question. He let her red eyes study his cold, narrow, malicious, eyes that still somehow seemed beautiful and bright. Another laugh escaped him at her tease. "What if I am? What would you do?" He asked, his coy smile growing as if he was trying to impress her, subtly.

Kainda gave a cruel smile as her spine shivered with anticipation. "Mmmm...don't keep me waiting too long... The mare whispered nickering gently. At his counter questions, she chuckled. "I prod at things that no one dare touch. I'm quite capable of protecting myself in case it backfires, her head tilted as if motioning toward the horn atop her head. and I'm curious about you..." Her voice trailed as she listened slowly. I would ask if you required any service. I would want to know what your plans would be against the King and those Azrein who have made themselves pets to the humans. I would demand a place in their herd and prove myself to be quite the ally..." With each word she came closer to Rakai until she stood only a few inches away her dark red eyes staring into his dark green ones. So really, who are you and what is it you are hiding, Rakai... This time it was more of a statement then a coy question. Kainda was curious and she would find out one way or another.

Raki chuckled in a darkly. "I like those who aren't afraid of playing with things much worse than fire." He said silkly. He listened to her in silence for as she answered his own prodding. He liked what he heard, she was proving herself more and more, potentially, valuable by the second. He didn't move or flinch as the dangerous mare moved in on him. Only his smile grew darker and more mysterious. "I'm who I am. A proud, human loathing, Azrien." He replied casually, without actually really saying anything that she didn't aready know.

"How can I be afraid of playing with something I already am? Her dark eyes glittered coming closer, careful to aim her horn away from him. Gingerly, her nose touched his neck taking in his scent. It was...almost like spice with smoke. It smelled sweet but it stung. "Fair enough. For now." Her nostrils flared as she snorted moving away from him, tail flicking behind her brushing against his side. "So, what now Dark Heart?" Kainda prodded again. "Some adventure, mayhaps?"

Rakai grinned, pleased with her reply. Rakai watched her with his bright green eyes as she moved in, letting her take in his smell. He grinned slyly as she moved away, brushing his flank with her tail. He trotted over to stand beside her at her prodding. "Some adventure, a dark quest." He replied mysteriously, bright green eyes glinting mischievously.

If the mare could purr, she would. Kainda whickered gently feeling that familiar pleasurable shiver curl around her spine. This time she swore she could even feel it going up to the tip of her horn. "Those are always fun...Let's plan something, shall we?" The orange striped mare looked over at him, red eyes shining. Then she suddenly reared up giving a cry as she pawed at the air before taking off thundering across the plain. This would be an adventure indeed.

Rakai's eyes gleamed with excitement. "We shall." He said silkily, already starting to pull various potentially fun ideas together. He met her red eyes and grinned. As if reading her mind he reared with her and joined her cry with his own. Matching her speed his hooves pounded the ground beneath him. Looking to Kainda he gave her an coy smile before asking. "What ideas do you got to churn up the peaceful waters?" His voice sweet, yet carried a dark tone of malice.

Kainda surged forward as he caught him, her mane and tail whipping behind her much like a banner. Her horn gleamed in the faint light as the sun seemed to be reaching toward setting. Her ears flicked back to catch his voice as her eyes kept ahead, though she stole glances toward him every now and then. "How about we visit the king...or maybe we can stir up some minds. Get others to join our cause. The Six might notice us. Maybe even make us one of their generals." Her mind reveled in the idea of containing so much power, her dark red eyes glinting with almost madness. "What say you, my Dark Heart?" Kainda whispered slowing down a little as if to get a better look around her changing surroundings.

Rakai barely glanced ahead of him as his narrow, intelligent eyes focusing on Kainda. From her blue flying hair to her dangerous horn, he especially liked the flow of her orange markings as she tore over the earth below. But most of all he liked the dark, fiery aura she carried around her. He didn't care about love, didn't even knowledge the existence of it in fact. He felt no such thing for Kainda, but he did hold an admiration of sorts for someone of such a like mind to his own. However, to any other than himself his wandering gaze and coy expression that he was developing a love, of some kind.
Listening to her ideas he grinned maliciously. "Better yet, lets slip in among the 'greater' herd and create confusion among them. Make them doubt each other, their leader, and maybe even themselves." He said his voice calm, though it carried a hint of excitement. The gears in his mind whirring as his hooves continued to strike out at the ground, working out more and more details and ideas with each passing moment.

The mare slowed down cold thinking of what he just said. Her chest heaved greatly from her running, and yet she felt great. She could have gone miles farther if she hadn't of stopped. "Yes...Yes I think I see it now." She whinnied in excitement, her body all a quiver. She quickly danced up to him and stretched her neck toward his face careful of her horn. "Tell me more! I'm all a flutter with possibilities." The mare cooed toward him against nudging his neck with her nose taking in his now heavier musk. True she had found some sort of kinship in mind and soul with this brute, but she would not dare call him a mate. His intentions would have to be strong and forthright as well as her strength matched to ever be considered something more than what they were now. For all his silver tongue could do, nothing could match the feral within her heart.

Rakai came gradually came to a stop and gracefully turned towards Kainda, eyes alight, as she spoke of seeing where he was headed with this idea of his. He snorted and shook out his mane. He wasn't near exhaustion, but he had gotten a workout from the run. He smiled slyly as she pranced over to him and stretched out her neck. He leaned his head against the side of hers as she cooed her question. He felt a mild tremor of excitement tingle down his spine, his ideas already becoming more vivid. "Well, it would actually be just me infiltrating the greater herd. You're very nature, as wondrous as it is, would just reveal the plot before it could bring fruit. No, you would be much better suited playing the part of the bad girl." He spoke whisperingly into her ear, his voice sweet and dark. He was silent for a moment before revealing what he had in mind for her. "You would serve as an outside distraction. One who causes chaos from the outside to distract their attention. This would be even more successful if we could recruit some others to, at the very least, appear as much more of a threat. One that deserving the majority of their attention." His voice dripping with malice and the excitement that stirring the 'Greater Herd' into chaos was sure to bring.

"No need to apologize, Rakai. I even know that I would be found out as soon as I was there." The mare snorted then stretched. As she listened, her eyes widened with excitement, ears perked. "And! You could still cause chaos within! Somehow leak the information. We can distract while you you go and search further information or even prove to the Greater Herd that you are their greatest asset!" Her rump wiggled with excitement as she shook her neck. "And I'm sure with the right tactics, I could get others to join our cause..." Her nostrils flared looking toward him."Should we start to recruit before you infiltrate the freaks?" Her heart was beating hard against her chest with excitement, her ears flicking and perked forward as she stared out across the way. "And we need a home base. Somewhere we can all meet without looking suspicious.."

Rakai smiled slyly. "Precisely." He said silkily. "I shall go to the greater herd as a new arrival. One who has yet to choose if I want to join them, but would at least like to get to know others." His smile grew darker. "I'll gain some form of trust and begin to search for weaknesses." His voice slowly faded and he continued his dark, plotting thoughts in his own mind. His expression grew malicious before it faded back into a dark calm. "I shall leave recruiting up to you, for the most part. I would like to get inside the greater herd as soon as possible. The longer I can walk among them before you strike the less kinks we are likely to encounter." He said twitching his long tail in excitement. Pulling his head up into an almost proud position he smiled. The gears whirred in his mind and with each rotation working things out in more and more elaborate details. This should be the most interesting thing I've done since I got back. Rakai thought with a sly sneer.

Kainda stretched her frame as she strode away putting some space between the two. Again, his sly mind and dark voice sent pleasure chills up and down her spine. "As you wish, my Lord." She bowed her head to him in certain play and yet respect. Her hoof dug into the ground a little as she began to stride forward. "Come find me when there is no moon in the sky. We should meet right here, just outside the Greater Herd's reach." Her voice was malicious giving a whinny then surging forward to complete the task set before her. She and Rakai would definitely meet again.

Rakai gave Kainda a graceful nod. "We shall meet again then." He said smoothly, his eyes gleaming with ill intentions. He watched her striking figure fade into the distance with a grin. "My lord huh?" His expression slowly beginning to melt into his typical calm. "I think I could get used to that." He said with a grin as he turned and trotted off in the opposite direction Kainda had galloped off in.
"Let the games begin." He whispered darkly to himself, narrow eyes glinting, as he picked up speed and tore over the open plain.
