The day was beautiful. It seemed spring had hit, and the grasses were greening once more. The snow had melted away and left the animals excited to see what would become
of the new day. It was an exciting time, a beautiful time. However the gruff male hardly ever felt excited. No he felt more jaded than anything and he wasnt even sure why.
He should have forgotten his deceased mate with the love of his new one in his heart. However he never could seem to get the pain of that day out of his heart. Even if it left
his head. He snorted, lowering his nose to the earth and sniffing out for anything not normal. Everything seemed fine, and nothing caught his nose, and so he yawned, turning
to head back to the river that ran through some of their thorn bushes. He had never felt safer.. and how odd for being so out in the open. The thorn did wonders to deter others.

Life! It was beautiful, it was vibrant, and it was colorful! Eden couldn’t be more pleased with what Nature was putting on this season, and the emotion was intensified with the fact that she was a mother this time.

Her maw curled into a bright smile at the thought of the two bundles of joy she had helped bring into this world. Granted, she had never thought . . . not with Illidad, but . . . He had been overcome with joy at the prospect, if with his own doubts about his license to parent, and that had been enough. More than enough.

Still, even as a new mother Eden felt the need to pull away every once in a while and just walk. Plant if she felt like it, but mostly walk – amongst the trees to avoid the shade, though she was easily drawn by scents.

One in particular found her nose. She blinked in pleasant surprise, and then smiled again as she followed it.
