Oh, this! I just saw the contest on Piapro yestherday and saw alot of the entries. I'm too big of a coward to enter, but this contest is quite exciting ;;u;;

It appears they want to redesign Miku and make her more Ameircan so that she will appeal to a larger audience, but I really doubt that a lot of people besides otaku will be interested in buying her. No matter how you look at it, Vocaloid is not directed at all kinds of audience, so it will be extremly hard to make it so... sweatdrop I think they should leave Miku as she is instead of redesigning her. I don't think that the redesign will make her more popular.
