I had a chance to go the beach today and have some good food and possibly some fun (rarely ever been to the beach in my life) but I declined the offer and came up with a slew of excuses not to go, such as not owning anything that goes above my ankles (which is true, and even though I got paid not too long ago, I didn't feel like wasting money on expensive s**t once getting to that beach).
Anyway, this isn't the first time I've missed out on an opportunity.
Let's talk about missed opportunities and why do we do it? If any of you are similar to me, of course. Hopefully not. Sucks to be like that.

I do that all the time with friends. Sometimes I am just too lazy and sometimes I just do not want the stress.

I have a kiddo at home to look after and when I don't particularly want to do whatever they want me to I use her as an excuse. >.> Though it's true that we can't go out any longer because she acts up so bad, even grocery shopping but eh. I'm anti-social and people just tick me off however I also don't like letting people down. It sucks.

I consider myself antisocial, as well. I am always afraid I won't have so much fun when going to certain events because of the way I am. I was afraid I wasn't going to enjoy the beach. I know I could enjoy the beach, because I love the ocean and nature, but the idea of so many people there and being a little afraid of hanging around the people who invited me (I feel like I'm still scared/shy around them, sometimes) I was probably not going to have much fun.
