Kat So apparently I had no Kat profile. I should make one at some point. Kat's first appearance: last post on the pageRoxanna Name(s): Roxanna Kristov Appearance/Description:RoxannaRoxanna has a dancer's build, slim of hip and hand, and often compared to her great-grandmother a dark-eyed, Russian ballerina who fled her mother country during the revolution. Roxanna inherited the dark eyes as well, round, deep-set and fringed with thick lashes. Unlike her blond grandmother, however, Roxanna's hair is as dark as her eyes, a shade that hovers the edge of brown and black. Though encouraged, Roxanna refused to dance, and instead turned her heart to music. Her instrument of choice, the cello. She let her fingers dance in her stead, until the small one on her left hand was sliced off. It was claimed to be an accident with a chopping knife, an odd accident that cut the finger clean off at the base, but there were those who said otherwise. They claimed to have been guests at an evening party following Roxanna's last recital when her fiancee, drunk and angry, took a cigar slicer to her finger. She never played again. History:Roxanna was seventeen when she met Nicholas Corey. He was the spoiled heir to the Corey fortune, handsome, charming, and nearly ten years her elder. From that first day they became nearly inseparable, and Roxanna was known as Corey's pretty shadow for years to come. The public called them a darling couple, with little mention of Corey's occasional fits, but those were pushed off as the infamous Corey temper. A year after the phenomenon, as then tension ran high in the city, and strange incidents became something of a common, a body was found floating in the shallow waters of a courtyard fountain. Roxanna became a widow only a year into her marriage, and also became under investigation for her husband's murder. Association: N/A Power Alignment: Blue Power (Main): A form of water communication. She can hone in and listen into conversations that take place within a certain vicinity of water. For example a business meeting that has a pitcher of water and glasses on the table, or a father having a conversation with his son next to a duck pond. She must be in contact with water to do so, be it her hand or her whole body, and the more water she is in contact with the larger her range of hearing, and the stronger she can hone in. Power (Secondary): She can use large bodies of water as a gate of transport. For example submerging into a bathtub and transporting to a pool on the other side of the city. Other:She has practically no defensive skills, and has never thrown a punch in her entire life. Though she's pretty damn good at throwing an expensive vase at a man's head. Roxanna's first appearance: Nicholas Corey's funeral Jarred Name(s): Jarred Flint Appearance/Description: Tall, messy black hair. Dresses casual whenever he can get away with it, which is often, given the laid back nature of his job. Green eyes, cool features, and a long scar reaching from his right shoulder along his back to his left hip. History: Jarred was left parent-less early in his life due to a tragic car crash, which left him with a long scar along his back. He was taken in by his grandfather on his father's side, an old man made wealthy by the stock markets. Jarred was raised by him, unspoiled despite his wealth, and he became a father to the young man. For Jarred's 19th birthday, his grandfather gave him a german shepard Jarred named Rex. Shortly after his 20th birthday, his grandfather suffered a massive heart attack and passed away, leaving Jarred everything. He quit his job as a volunteer fire shortly after, finding himself unable to cope with the high stress situations anymore. Jarred now works at an arcade his grandfather owned, named Emerald Visions, set in the more generic parts of the city. Not a bad neighborhood, but not super-ritzy. Association: St. Eva made Power Alignment: White Power (Main): Pacification aura- Any super within a given area of Jarred, roughly 100 feet, though it will generally work as "if he's interacting with them", suffers a lessened power. Abilities will not work to their fullest potential, or, at the very least, will require more effort to use. He cannot lock out someone's powers, and this applies to all powers. Other: Jarred is one of three employees at Emerald Visions, but is the only one that will likely be there, and the only one powered. He is unaware of his power, given it's limited use and the fact that it spawned only a year ago. Jarred is very wealthy, but doesn't live it. He has a nice apartment, with nice things, but he was never spoiled in his life, and refuses to be now, despite the inheritance from both his parents and grandfather. First Appearance: Corey Funeral Jeffery Name: Jeffery Pride Appearance/Description: Jeffery Pride is a short, built man, with short dirty blond hair, eyes close enough to be called matching on a dark day. He keeps himself tidy and organized, dressing simple but practical. He's attractive enough to attract attention, but not so much to draw more than his share. He speaks with a quiet, calm voice, somehow more effective than if he bellowed. History: Jeffery was not always named Jeffery. In fact, he was never named Jeffery Pride, but chose the name himself after being declared AWOL by the United States Government. After discovering he was AWOL, he deserted. Little to say about Jeffery's life before his desertion, other than that he had little family, and no close friends outside of the military. He had been home for almost five months when his regiment received deployment orders, but Jeffery did not receive these orders. He platoon was shipped out, but he did not receive the letters, the phone calls,or the soldiers sent to his home to inform him. For whatever reason, Jeffery Pride, who was not at that time Jeffery Pride, went unaware, and unfound. One month later, he was informed by a second, non-military party that one of his friends was killed in duty. Certain this could not be true, how could his friends, his brothers in arms, have died across the seas, where he was not? He contacted his base, and found that he was to report there immediately. He was AWOL, and was to stand trial for desertion. Jeffery was a loyal man, a man who believed in his duty and his job, enough to accept the men he was told to kill were men who deserved death, but he was no fool. He had no idea why, or even how he went untold of his orders, but he knew that walking away from his duty was better than walking into a gallows, and he ran. He fled his home, he family, his friends, and disappeared. He took on his new name and identity, the papers forged by a close friend who understood he had to run, a parting gift to help him disappear. He chose the name Pride out of irony: Jeffery did not know why, but he was forced to flee, something he still feels cowardly. This was four years before the first Event at St. Eva. During the year after the initial event, Jeffery moved to St. Eva, having moved multiple times in the past years, and believed St. Eva secluded enough for his purpose of hiding. Personal Information: Jeffery has been living in St. Eva for roughly 8 months now, and over his years he's grown less concerned with his desertion. He still keeps himself fit and trained at the local gym, and, despite the potential liability, he's kept his sniper rifle with him since his desertion, a twisted sense of affection for what he viewed as his only companion for days to weeks of sitting in one spot. Jeffery is unaware that he has any abilities out of the ordinary, other than being good at his job. His power fit his job, so while his previous superiors believed him excellent at his task, there was nothing to raise suspicion. He personally has never considered the possibility of the supernatural in people, but has never had cause to in the first place. He works at the local high school now, coaching football and teaching physical education. He doesn't speak of his past, and has left it and his old name behind him. He is dedicated to his job and new life, and would prefer to live simple without ever having to kill again. Association: Jeffery is none of the above, his power unknown to even himself. Power Alignment: Heavy Green Power (Main): Self Sufficiency: During prolonged periods of concentration, Jeffery's body becomes completely self-contained and sufficient, needing no food or water, no warmth or sleep, not even air. During this time, he can continue at peak performance with nothing to sustain him, though he himself is not conscious of it. He does not produce waste, and will maintain this state until he becomes unfocused, or in his practical sense, when he killed the mark. Power (Secondary): TBA Other: Again, Jeffery is completely unaware of his own power, even as a normal bodily function. He has lived his life unknowing, and likely will continue as such. First Appearance: (technically the first appearance irl time line, but second appearance counting the uninteractive football post) jogging on the beach with gunshot victims and such Sam Name(s): Samuel Appearance/Description: Samuel stands 5'10 and has a good football body; not huge, but big, and he's not shy about showing it off. He's got tousled brown hair which hangs at about the ears, and dark green eyes. Attention tends to move around him, and he's got no problem with embracing it, he's popular in high school, and it shows. He dresses casual at all times, loose jeans or shorts, fitting t-shirts and a jacket. Unremarkable clothing, beyond the leather fedora he got for his 12th birthday that he refuses to go without. History: Samuel's life has been short and uneventful. Living in the slightly richer neighborhood of the island, he was away from the majority of the killings and other activity during the first Event of St. Eva. He played football for his high school before the event, but after the initial event, his skills took off. He was able to move quicker, and could take hits from players twice his size in stride. It never seemed anything unnatural, but he was noticeably better at what he did. The second event happened the night he found his girlfriend in bed with another. He took the typical teen reaction of raging at them, then retiring to walk alone to cool off, ending up in one of the worse off districts. That night in town, on the year marker of the event, his abilities began to move beyond their previous limits. As he walked along the street, a stray bullet from a shooting whistled after the back of his head. Samuel hit the ground, and hard, face planted in the ground. He stood up, rubbing the back of his head, looking for whoever threw what he assumed to be a rock. Unseen to him was the hole in the wall to the side of him, where a diverted bullet sat cooling. Personal Information: Samuel is a popular high school student. Captain of the football team, was dating a cheerleader, and gets straight A's. Drives a nice car his dad bought him, Samuel's time is spent between girls ((he's not that broken up about his girlfriend)), football, and looking at colleges for the next year. He's relatively care free and content with breezing by till college. He's only just begun to realize there might be something more to his new found prowess at football, and that it may have something to do with the second Event. Association: N/A. Samuel is only beginning to become aware that he may be more than quick. Power Alignment: White Power (Main): Physical Relativity: Samuel is a strong young man, but he's only as strong as he looks, or, as you look that is. Samuel possess no super strength or speed, he cannot throw a car, he cannot run faster than one either. However, if the flash were to try and tackle him, he could sidestep it. If Superman were to punch him, he grab him and direct him to the side. His strength and speed are relative to the strength and speed of the object or force moving at him. This remains defensive, the buff lasting for the moment it applies, giving him a moment to move or use the person's strength to shrug them off, or throw them in certain instances. Power (Secondary): TBA Other: There are certain things that can move beyond the restraints of his ability, elements in particular. The beach, or a strong wind filled with leaves or large objects have been known to give him a headache, even disorient him if there's enough. His power is natural born, triggered by the first event, and charged by year mark. First Appearance (aside from the story post football game): Sam jogging
