Welcome to Squad Thirteen
A New Members' Guide to Squad Thirteen
Hello Members and welcome to Squad Thirteen.
I'm known as Rosuto Kentaryuu, but you can call me Ro, Rosu, Rosuto, etc. Anything really, so long as it's respectful. I am the Captain of this squad.
This thread will be used to explain some of the important factors about and within the squad that you will need to know about.
You will find that there are a lot of explanations in this thread. Explanations such as: definitions, rules, links, etc. If you have any questions that this guide does not answer, feel free to contact me.

Squad Thirteen Purpose
The Squad Thirteen Purpose is separated into four categories. Each of these categories are very important to the squad and all of them together is the exact reason for Squad Thirteen to be around. It is our job within the Seireitei if you would. I will explain each of the four categories below.
Protect the Seireitei. Yes this is a job that all of the squads have in common but with our squad being known as the Guardian Division, we take this job to a whole new level. We do daily or weekly runs around the Seireitei. Making sure each wall is secure; each sector is protected and looked after, as well as if there are any new threats or problems endangering the Seireitei.
Protect the Squad. It goes without saying that if we are to do 110% at our job, we need a good and organized squad. If anything threatens our union or family-like structure, it would affect us greatly. It is important that each member of Squad Thirteen know the strengths and weaknesses of each member within the squad. Learn to work together efficiently and have that security that someone in the squad, or on the team in a mission, has your back covered. In short; protect the squad by knowing the squad.
Protect the Innocent. This is one of the main things Squad Thirteen does. We are the squad that often goes out to the World of the Living to watch over and protect the humans there. We also perform Konsai on souls so that they may go to the Soul Society. It is our job to protect the souls from Hollows or anything else that may threaten them. Protecting these souls should and ought to be the Squad Thirteen main goal at all times.
Protect your Loved Ones. Every member should have someone that they fight or work for. Be it a girl/guy or a family member. Just someone to always work for, and who is worth the member risking their life. Everyone should have someone or something they work for. Anything to keep them motivated and make them happy at the end of a hard working day.

Handy Definitions
Rp Terms
• God-Modding: The act of creating or playing with an invincible character that has been given limitless power. Some players will create a brand new character that is automatically gifted with skills and techniques of a Captain or higher. The newer character "god-mods" as if they've been around as long as a player who has been established before them. This is not allowed for every player must work within the bounds of their given ranks.
Quote: Example: A player is not allowed to decide the outcome of an attack or action without giving your opponent a chance to react to that attack or action.
• Auto-Hitting: The act of making decisions and/or actions for the target of your role play.
Quote: Example: Player A slams his fist into Player B's jaw, a sound of shattering bones is heard as his jaw is broken on impact.
Acts such as this are highly dishonorable and are the worst form of god modding that can be performed. Action will be taken towards those who god-mod or auto- hit and players will be cited accordingly if such actions are reported and/or caught.
• Powerplaying: The act of constant regeneration and/or dodging of attacks and actions etc. Also known as 'auto-healing' or 'auto-dodging'. Powerplaying can also consist of a player utilizing a power he or she may not have. This form of powerplaying may be hard to detect, so be sure to check your opponents stats before and during a spar.
• Meta-gaming: Meta-gaming is when someone uses Out of Character gained information In Character to gain advantage during a battle or RP situation.
Quote: Example: Player A has a fear of spiders and suddenly Player B pulls out a spider to scare Player A when Player A hasn't even told Player B of their fear of spiders.

Rules
• Follow the Golden Rule: Treat others how you wish to be treated. Respect is key for every member of Squad Thirteen, regardless of Rank or Race.
• Avoid Any Form of Modding at all Times: This includes god-modding, auto-hitting, auto-dodging, auto-healing, meta-gaming, ect. (If need to, refer back to the Handy Definitions)
• Always be Willing to Help your Fellow Guild-Mates As members of Squad Thirteen, it is our duty to provide aid when others are in need.
• Always Perform to the Best of Your Ability: A member must always give their jobs one hundred and ten percent no matter what rank they hold for each rank plays an important role and are highly valued in the Squad. One must also realize the importance and clarity good literacy provides during Role Play and will always strive to do their best and/or become better in areas such as spelling, punctuation and grammar.
• Keep in mind that starting Rank is normally Soldier: from there, you may work your way up, unless, you are transferring from a different Squad. Then you must contact the Squad Captain (Me).
