The sex slave of Pokemon, Ditto, finally has its own PotW! Woot! Ditto is known for its ability to breed with ANY Pokemon (that can breed. Sorry Dialga. No breeding for you) This is probably the only reason most gamers remember who Ditto is, until you remember the other he can do. Transform. That’s it. All he can do is transform into the opponent’s Pokemon. Seems useless, right? Or… could it be extremely useful?

Speed: 48
48 base stats all around. This thing’s a motherflipping tank! Not really. 48 in each stat? Rhydon has higher Speed and Special Defense… and I never thought I’d say that. Surely, his poor stats are aided by one of the best movepools around, right?
Transform: This is it? Transform? I have to waste a turn to transform into the opponent, and then they smack me in the face with one of their moves? Wait a minute… base 48 Speed. Anything not named Amoonguss will outspeed it and possibly OHKO with a spread of 48 / 48 / 48 defenses. What’s with that ability, Limber? You’re gonna prevent paralysis as well on an already slow as molasses Pokemon? Please say you got something good in the Dream World.
Eccentric: Possibly the greatest thing for Ditto ever. Instead of having to waste a turn to transform into the opponent, you immediately transform into them when you leave the Pokeball. That’s epic! Slap on a Choice Scarf, and you’ve got essentially the greatest revenge killer in the game. With one tiny change, Ditto went from being useless sex slave to ultimate fighter! Awesome!
In my opinion though, I prefer Life Orb over Choice Scarf, especially when I copy their lead and start setting up on them. The sweeps I’ve pulled thanks to LO Ditto on PO… just wow. Ditto’s amazing this gen. Can’t wait for it to be released from the DW.
