CHANNEL 18 - KIRA'S KINGDOM

"I will proclaim this now to all the people of the Earth - Kira is true justice! This morning, we have received live witness footage of Kira's hand at work. Behold....."

In the video, a man in a bowler hat is riding a bike up a hill, when suddenly, dark clouds begin to form. As he reaches the hill's summit, a lightning bolt crashes down upon him, instantly frying the man and his bike. "Oh my god!" cries the woman behind the camera, who then hurries to his side for a closer shot. The details are gruesome and uncensored.

"This man is Zoosmell Pooplord, otherwise known as Hatmaster - an infamous drug lord and gang leader. He has reaped the judgment of our Lord Kira. This is not a hoax, this is the absolute truth! Remember, Kira is cleaning up our streets! Those who try to put Kira in jail are evil!"

CHANNEL 5 - NEWS AT 8

"This is the GCSG Nightly News. Our top story today, a local bank clerk was found beaten and strangled in her townhouse. The victim was identified as Chiquita Banana, known in some circles as Bellecat. Witness accounts of the suspect indicate a brown-haired male in his early 20's, last seen wearing ripped jeans and a leather jacket. It was probably KeJoRo.

In other news, yet another attempt to apprehend the supernatural serial killer known as Kira has resulted in hideous failure. After the jailing of Chikorin Moonie, she was found unconscious in her cell, deceased of a mysterious heart attack. Just like every other time you've thrown someone in jail. Nice going, fellas...."

This will be a Death Note themed game. At the beginning of the game, all players will receive a secret "real name", chosen by the GM. (I promise they will not be quite as ridiculous as the ones used in my example.)


Roles are:

(1) Kira. Kira can kill anyone by writing their "real name" in the Death Note. He must first learn their "real name" as confirmed by telling the GM. Once he knows their name, the kill cannot be stopped by anything except for Kira being jailed.

If Kira wishes, s/he can pass the Death Note on to someone else, forfeiting the role of Kira and making the benefactor the new Kira. This move can only be completed if neither Kira nor the benefactor have the highest amount of votes by the end of the current round, and this move is made in place of a kill. If the Death Note changes hands, this action will be reflected in the story update. The Death Note can even be handed to players who already have a role.

(2) Shinigami. These are people who were granted the shinigami eyes. Each round, they can ask the GM for a player's "real name."

(1) L - The great detective. Receives one clue regarding Kira's identity each round. If the Death Note is handed to L, it is an automatic loss for Kira and the game ends.

(?) Criminals. This is not really a role, but it is something that will happen. Each round, I will count the number of voters, and RNG. The person selected will kill the person they voted for in the last round in the next update.

(3) NPA - The officers of the NPA choose one person each to protect. An individual NPA can protect the person from the shinigami or the criminal, but not both at once. However, two NPA protecting one individual can do so, if one has specified criminal and the other has specified shinigami. As always, NPA cannot protect themselves.
