I want to work out this summer, but I have a huge problem with motivation. So I figured I should put this in a public place because I feel more accountable for it (and if anyone reading this has suggestions, I would really appreciate it).

Goals for the summer:
- 2-3 times a week, I will go to the gym before taking a shower
- at the gym, I will do at least 20 minutes of cardio and at least 10 minutes on the weight machines (maybe more)
- I won't eat fast food more than once a week (and will try to eat healthy at home)
- I WILL HAVE NO MORE THAN ONE SNOCONE A WEEK
- before I move back to school, I want to have lost at least 5 pounds (or under 170)

I think that's about it but I may keep a log of what I do.

i've been doing the same thing, here's my list:

- at least 30 crunches every day
- at least 10 push ups every day
- at least 2 or 3 times a week, walk to the gym (2 miles away)
-- at the gym, 20 mins on the weirdo machines, 15 mins of running
- snack on fruit more

i'm trying to get a flat tummy and stronger arms because they're terribly weak. i gotta have a beach bod if i'm going to college on a beach! x__x

Oh man, my arms are hella weak too. :c I guess I should work on them instead of my legs.

and I guess I should try doing some exercises even on days I don't go to the gym. I think I might dig out some of my old teen girl magazines because some of those had good workout tips.

EDIT, dammit I guess I recycled my old teen girl magazines. Poop. :C

Alright so I decided I'm going to make one post to log what I do each week.

SUNDAY
gym was closed, so I drove to the nearby junior high and walked on the track (6 laps, 25 minutes). ******** Texas heat.
Hopefully I can do some crunches or something later.
But I made a deal with my self that if I went and worked out in the morning, I could go shopping at Plato's Closet this evening, so I'll do that!

MONDAY
Forgot my water bottle, but walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes (I'm rying to get comfortable on the treadmill, so I'm kind of afraid of going much faster yet)
Also did the shoulder press and did 70 ball crunches

WEDNESDAY
Did the elliptical for 11 minutes, since my bff and I are going on a walk this evening
Worked on my arms and did 100 crunches on the ab machine

if you have a friend who'd be willing to workout with you it always helps.
my friend and i go shapeup walking everyday for at least an hour. sometimes we jog. i know, i know, shape ups are ugly and seem lame, but costco had them for pretty cheap and i swear to you my thighs are less jiggly!

I wish I had someone to go to the gym with, but I don't have any friends nearby that can afford the $75 membership. My best friend is also trying to get in shape, so we went on a walk one evening and it was fun. :3 Only problem is, it's hot as balls here 24/7, so we can only go late in the evening.

TUESDAY
went to the gym, did the elliptical for 35 minutes. It got boring so I started alternating between walking and running and that helped.
did 100 crunches
Oh, and I signed up for Sparkpeople

So today (Wednesday) I didn't work out, but I have been tracking my calories. I just had dinner and my total so far is 1190, and I think I'm going to have a small cup of ice cream to end the day (since it recommends I have 140-490 more).

Jesus god last week was terrible. I blame Harry Potter.

TUESDAY
Went to the gym, rode the elliptical for 35 minutes, did crunches, worked on my arms and legs. It felt good. I hate the machines at the gym at home, everything is so old.
