It was getting late, but Kek wasn't ready to turn back, not yet. He had informed Deimos that he felt the need to stretch out his legs and might take a night or two for himself. He wasn't entirely sure if that was legal, now that he was part of Acropolis, but . . . he needed to straighten some things up.

While he was slowly adjusting to his life in the clouds, there was a presence that had all but disappeared upon his arrival. The shadow had followed him all the way from Einsame to just before Acropolis. . . and while he thought he he caught Therin's scent from time to time, he'd yet to make a true appearance.

While Kek was a patient individual, he missed the other wolf and was growing weary of their game. He knew enough about Therin to know of his old position as a former alpha, but he didn't know the real reasons the ebony and orange masked wolf stayed away. What made Acropolis so different than Einsame? Was it because there were more members? Because Kek was no longer a beta wolf? Was it . . . was it perhaps the ebony wolf had changed his mind? Had he met someone else?

There were too many questions, and Kek needed them answered. Unfortunately though, he couldn't have much of a conversation without the wolf in question. So he would seek him out, or at least make an announcement of his presence. Throwing his head back, he let out a long and deep howl, singing a song of solitude and yearning to the world. He was sure those of Acropolis could likely hear it. . . but it wasn't a song meant for their ears. Oh no. It was for a wolf that he hoped might draw near.

He had last track of the time, the moons have come and gone, he has looked at many full moons now that he had last track of them as well. Since following that rag tag of mutts who honored themselves around Kekarn to this new, sticky, humid place, he hasn't been able to get close enough to his prize. The area reeked of the pack's leaders, which of whom he has yet to encounter, fortunately. The ebony wolf could not trespass as easily into these lands as he could at the Einsame when Kekarn was left alone for a wolf to pounce on. He growled at the thought of those who could possibly be trying to sway his prized male from him.

Therin had followed the Einsame group up the mountain to this place. He had found a den for himself and has been living in it sense. Just beyond the reach of those mutts. He hasn't found an opportune time to actually rove the area...

The plateau overlooked a drop much larger than any stretch of land he has crossed into a lake of green trees. There was a waterfall from what he could tell and a river that fed into it. There was also a forest that surrounded the pack's land but beyond that he didn't know. Whenever he heard a rustle within the pack when he attempted to sneak in, he was already gone.

He cursed the pack for keeping him from his male. Kekarn was his. The large violet beast was his prize, he found him, he claimed him. He was his. A pang in his chest as he thought about the male more and more. It was irksome. Therin knew he was there but just too far from his grasp. Why he hasn't come to find him was beyond his imagination.

A howl split the twilight. Peeking his head from his burrow, his perked ears picked up that call of solitude. Now, being here, he has heard many howls, but not like this one. It was much deeper than the rest of the howls that echoed the forest.

"Kekarn." He murmured as he got to his feet and off he went into dangerous territory. Screw them. He thought. He's mine. His mind knew it was stupid to trespass on another's territory. His heart guided him to the male whom he has roved for many moons before he was taken away.

Plus, he had an itch he really wanted to itch.

Kekarn fell quiet and pricked his ears, hoping to hear a return howl or . . something. Anything. Of course, the large wolf knew that Therin wasn't exactly willing to just bound in to pack territory, but that didn't keep the wolf from hoping. He had positioned himself close to the borders, but he also knew that his friend could be anywhere. It was also quite possible that the black and orange masked wolf wasn't even around . . .

Oh bother. Why had he waited so long? What if Therin had left for another? It was perfectly possible. . . . though they had struck up a rather affectionate sort of friendship, and though Therin had returned time and time again after he'd leave . . . well. . . . the move had been rather unprecedented. Kek hadn't expected it, and he hadn't entirely known what might come of situation. Would his coy friend follow him or . . . let their friendship fade?

For awhile it seemed as if Therin would resume activities just like in Einsame. But unfortunately, things didn't work out that way. The pack was larger, and he did worry what might happen should he be found by Hepheastos or another in the pack.

Heaving a small sigh, the large wolf gave a small shake of his head. Their relationship was a bit more complicated than Kek would have preferred. While he loved Ehrek and Deimos, part of the violet wolf couldn't help but yearn for Therin. Why did he have to be so elusive, so coy? And why did he have to be a rover? Kekarn knew better than to demand or request Therin settle his paws. . . .but that didn't mean he didn't desire it. He wanted to keep the wolf to himself, thank you very much, and would fight any number of ladies and males to do it if necessary.

Unfortunately though, Kek wasn't sure whether or that was something Therin desired. He seemed to be a bit of a free spirit, in love with the chase . . . .not necessarily in love with the wolf. Love. No, he wouldn't admit to that yet but - - -

A noise. It wasn't far off, and had he not been well aware of his surroundings, he may have missed it. Still, the wolf wasn't about to hold his breath - it could be a number of things, after all, including his imagination. Tail wagging, ears pricked and alert, Kek waited to see who or what might be out there.

"They finally let you go?" His voice echoed in the growing darkness. His eyes watched with intent as he made out the large form of the violet wolf. Luckily, the darkness hasn't consumed his form just yet, that vibrant purple color he could not resist pressing himself against during those nights alone in the big male's large burrow. It had been too long since he had last seen it but he could never forget it-no, he would never be able to. Kekarn was his, finally found a reason to actually return to a place he has already hit up. Every place he came to had a reason to avoid, mostly the females he left would be waiting for him with litters, or the males would have felt disgusted for falling for another male and to submit to him. But Kekarn wasn't like that, he did not sit and wait for him like a puppy waiting for his parent to return home from a long day. No, he was a patient wolf and when Therin did return, he was often welcomed.

The dark night shrouded him thanks to his ebony fur. He crept slow toward the wolf, keeping himself downwind for his scent to waft slow.

"You look fit as ever. Big. Strong. Your scent is still your own, just as I remember from back then." Therin came to his side with a questioning expression. He seemed the same as before, but he was no mind reader. There was a reason he gave that howl, the message was clear. Did he miss him? Did he want him around? Was it even directed at him? Was he still alone like before or has he been smitten with one of the mutts of this pack? No, it would not be forgiven, if anything, he will take Kekarn away from whomever foolish enough to tempt him.

Therin let out a growl before lunging against his back, standing upon his hind legs and forelimbs around his back and neck, his maw around his scruff. Compared to Kekarn, it must have been like a puppy was trying to entice him to play. Therin was of decent size but he paled toward this male.

"Why haven't you sought me out?" He growled around a mawful of fur. "Why did you foresake me in this blasted land? Hiding yourself among these... unworthy mutts."
