Personality-Empathetic (Positive): Suri is naturally in tune with others' emotions and is quite adept at deciphering the body language that often comes along with it. Most often, Suri uses that knowledge to act accordingly. If the person he is with is happy, he will share in their joy, if they are sad he will console them, if they are angry he will tread carefully around them. However, he may be prone to using this to his advantage from time to time if the person he's with happens to have something he wants (most often that something will be themselves/their affections). -Even-tempered (Positive): Despite being a fire-type, Suri is a rather easy-going person and tends to be remarkably calm and cool-headed in situations that would spark others' tempers. It takes a great deal of malicious meddling for him to lose his temper and act out rashly and/or violently in his anger. Though, even if he should reach that tipping point, his cool-down period is very short and Suri is usually making amends almost immediately after his outburst. -Self-Indulgent/Entitled (Negative): After years and years of failed mating dances, Suri’s ability to wait for things finally disappeared along with his pokemon form. As a gijinka he aims to make up for all those frustrating years by simply giving in when his id whispers its desires to him. In his mind, Suri feels as though he’s entitled to have instant gratification after having been so damn patient for so long. Also, what did waiting and being patient ever get him? Nothing! So why bother with it! -Lascivious (Negative): Another consequence of not having found a partner (not even once) is that Suri finds himself quite hot ‘n bothered by anyone his mind’s eye sees as beautiful. This leads to the gijinka making overt and often unwanted advances at rather inappropriate moments. He could be in the middle of a conversation and if someone catches his eye he will leave in mid sentence, even mid-syllable, to go pursue his new object of fascination and infatuation. Luckily for most, Suri has very specific, very stringent tastes...but that just means that those few that fit those tastes are extra unfortunate as he will consistently push the (romantic) envelope with them, trying to get a little further than the last time. -Permissive (Neutral/Circumstantial): If someone wants to be in charge, Suri will let them be in charge. If they want to be on top, Suri’s happy to let them be there. He’s not one to ruffle anyone’s feathers (or fur) and has no qualms about taking a back seat to a more dominant personality. However, should no one step up to take charge when a leader is needed Suri won’t hesitate to take the position of power. Nor will he hesitate to take away another’s position of power should he believe it to be hazardous to himself and/or those around him. Physical Strengths-Limber: Suri’s body possesses a flexibility that only a small percent of humans could ever reach...which really isn't all that surprising considering he is not only not human, but also a fiercely dedicated dancer. As such, this allows Suri an almost unnatural fluidity to his movements as well as permits his lithe body to contort in unexpected ways. This not only makes for stunning dance routines, but it also doubles as a wonderful defensive ability in fights. -High stamina: Dancing is a strenuous activity and when one's routines tend to run long, having a great deal of stamina is required. In the beginning of his human days, in order to perfect his passion, his dancing, Suri put aside his hedonistic impulses in favor of a more disciplined, some would even say ascetic, way of life to build up the stamina he needed. At his peak Suri's stamina excelled that of a (human) marathon runner. These days Suri's lifestyle is more relaxed, and while he may not be able to leave a marathon runner in the dust, he can certainly give them a run for their money, which is enough for Suri to do the dance routines he loves whenever the urge strikes him. Physical Weaknesses-Hemophilia: Suri bruises like a ripe peach and bleeds much more profusely than others if his skin is broken from a cut or scrape. This is perhaps one of the main reasons (if not the main reason) that Suri is so quick to pacify others; he knows that a violent altercation can lead to hours worth of bleeding out at best and at worst, another incapacitating incident of bleeding into his joints. Talents-Sweet talker: Suri is a bit of a savant when it comes to keeping himself in a positive light in social situations. The volcarona tends to say what he thinks the other person/gijinka wants to hear (and he's usually pretty good at guessing that) and adornes most conversations with a smattering of thoughtful and unique compliments to appeal to their ego. Where as logic and intelligent arguments can go over another's head or even cause tempers to flare, Suri has found that adulation and honeyed words work equally well on the quick and the slow and keep tempers cool. -Dancing: See below! Shortcomings-Ignorance/naïvety: If it sounds true, Suri’s going to believe it is true as he knows there are many things he doesn’t know. This of course can lead to a lot of problems, the main being that he can be easily taken advantage of by strings of convincing lies. Even worse is the fact that he's likely to spread his newfound "knowledge" to others which either a) makes him look like a fool (if they know better) or b) perpetuates the lie (if they're ignorant/naïve as well), both of which have the opportunity to open up some rather nasty cans of worms. -Selective memory: Suri has a frustrating habit of forgetting facts, conversations, places, and sometimes even people/gijinka he deems dead boring. If enough recall details are thrown at him he might feel like he's having a moment of deja-vu, or he'll simply have a faint tingling of familiarity at the back of his skull, but the chances of him actually remembering it are almost non-existant. This leads to Suri repeating quite a few mistakes he should have learned from, if not the first time around, then definitely the second. Likes-Dancing: Suri enjoys watching all styles of dance but personally performs the following- ~ East Coast Tribal bellydancing: This style of dance is what feels the most "natural" for Suri and is his favored style of dance. ~"Exotic" (namely striptease pole/table dancing with the occasional lap dance): This is how Suri makes extra cash when the need arises. It's not particularly a favorite of his but it helps him make a decent living. ~ American Ballet - Balanchine Method: Suri's in the beginning stages of trying to learn this style of dancing and it's giving him quite a bit of difficulty...mostly because he peeps in on the classes rather than actually paying for and being in the classes. -Physical contact: Holding hands, hugging, snuggling, cuddling, nuzzling...anything remotely touchy-feely puts Suri in a happy place. -Movies/TV: Suri is absolutely fascinated with movies and TV shows, especially those that are filled with action and explosions. -Bitter foods: Very dark chocolate, black coffee, and espresso are his favorites. Dislikes-Extended periods of being alone: Some people say you can be alone but not lonely. Well Suri says that's a load of bouffalant s**t. Being alone for any length period of time (10-12 hours) makes him almost depressingly lonely as well as a bit anxious. Some nights he finds himself watching the shopping channels on TV and talking to the hosts just to have some semblance of social contact. -Downpours: Typical of a fire pokemon, Suri isn't a fan of rain. A little rain he can handle, but downpours leave him irritable and moody. -Small, enclosed spaces: Nothing is more frightening to a bug than being trapped in a small space and Suri is no exception, even as a gijinka. -Spicy foods: Food with anything stronger than black pepper in it is 110% off limits. He hates the way it makes his tongue feel and often gives him indigestion.

History
Suri evolved from a larvesta right on schedule along with several other larvesta, some of them were his brothers and sisters, but most of them he had no relation to; the cave opening chosen was simply a popular hangout for to-be volcaronas. When he emerged in his new form he knew the first things he had to do were eat and find a mate. Eating was easy, they were right by a lush forest full of berries. But finding a mate? That was harder, much harder.
To mate, the small group of volcarona had to travel to a hot, arid dessert and, through the harsh sandy winds, find a female and woo her with a dance (or, for the female volcarona, be woo'd by a dance). The dance volcaronas performed were borne partially from instinct and partially from the passion incited by the female.
The first time Suri tried to mate, he was too slow to pick a female and they all ended up getting paired up with other males leaving him to travel back to the wood as the desert was uninhabitable for long periods of time.
The second time Suri traveled not with the new group of volcarona, but alone and ahead of schedule to give himself a better chance than last time. And sure enough, Suri found a female...but unfortunately, he failed to impress her as his dance had been relatively sluggish and uninspired. Rather than picking out a female he truly felt attracted to he had simply picked the first one he had seen. It had been a mistake, but Suri was not about give up hope at one failure and so he hurried along to find another potential mate. This time, Suri was more careful to pick a volcarona that really moved him. Very inspired, he put his all into his dance but when it came time to cuddle up, Suri discovered the volcarona he picked ended up being a male! And when the other male noticed the same of Suri he flew away.
Once again it was back to the wood, another season of dancing for no one, and then back to the desert with yet another group of his species. Despite Suri's bleak outlook on his mating attempt he actually managed to woo a female...but it was not enough and, in the end, a younger volcarona stole her away. When Suri went back to the wood yet again he was only a shadow of his former self. He was dejected and devoid of hope, his loneliness swallowed him whole and in his depression Suri vowed to never go back to the desert and to never dance again. Without his dance, without his fire, Suri came to feel that his life had no purpose. He burrowed himself in the cave in which he first started his life as a fire moth and began the horrific feat of starving himself to death.
But some one, something else had other plans for him. One cold, nightmare-filled night, Suri was visited by the musharna. Suri was certain it was just another illusion brought on by hunger and yet...his allure was so powerful, and his form so eccentric, that the volcarona decided to listen to him anyways. The musharna offered him another option, one he claimed to be better than death, and even better than fulfilled life as a pokemon: he offered Suri the chance to be human. He explained how as a pokemon Suri was “programmed” to use his dance to mate, but as a human he would be free of that evolutionary pressure. Humans danced from passion, not instinct, so he would be free to dance for the sheer joy of dancing. Musharna told him of the joys of music, explained how he would have more ways of expression and more inspiration than just another being.
But there was a catch: he would have to want it, to work for it, to try. He could not remain a soul decaying in darkness! He had to find his fire, his hope, and re-ignite his faith in life and love.
For the first time in weeks there was a glimmer of hope, of interest. Despite having wings that no longer functioned in the real world, in his dream he managed to get his wings to lift him ever so slightly. The musharna pointed toward a small hole of light and Suri, with all his strength, moved to it. It took what felt like days (though he knew it couldn't have been), but he managed to get to the light and bathe himself in its warm glow. There was a surge of energy that rushed through him and then...nothing.
The next thing Suri remember was the taste of wet dirt in his mouth. He was outside of the cave and had melted the snow all around him.
Still starving after being brought back from the brink of death, it took Suri voraciously feeding on berries for three days until he had enough strength to pay his new form any heed. A nearby lake showed him his human form and he nearly wept at the sight. After weeks of foraging in the forest and people watching campers by the lake, Suri headed to the nearest town where he was, to his surprise, embraced and taken in by an old lady. Apparently Suri had reminded her of her late grandson who had disappeared in the forest he had just come from and she thought it nothing short of fate that he would appear to her on what would have been his eighteenth birthday.
Despite her kind assurances that she could care for him, Suri worked in her tea shop during the days and, when he found himself needing a bit more stimulation than the quiet town could give, snuck out at night and danced for his own entertainment at a strip club the town over. His exotic looks and dances quickly made him an attraction and, in order to keep the influx of curious newcomers that he had generated, the owner of the joint offered to hire him as a part-time bartender and part-time dancer at the club.
Suri happily accepted the job and rushed home to tell his "grandma" about the wonderful opportunity he had been given. Unfortunately for him, his "grandma" was highly pious, and when he told her where he would be working from now on she went pale and started screaming big words like "debauchery" and "prostitute" intermingled with concepts like "sins" and his "eternal soul", words and concepts he did not understand and could not come to accept.
Thankfully his new employer happened to have a soft spot for those abandoned by religious fanatics and allowed Suri to stay with her until he earned enough for his own place. And while he has earned enough to do so, Suri's fear of being alone has kept him from actually moving out from his employer's apartment.

Ohmaigoodness! I adore him and hot damn that arttt..ahhhhhhh..I think I watched this on LS and I had no clue it was your sexy boy solar! -purrs- I demand rp..once my own is approved of course lulz.
Leseeee..His strengths and weakness seem fine to me! -labu them- and Ooh hemophilia that ones interesting -clings- Plus you have shortcomings and talents listed right there which are more strengths and weaknesses so your definitely good there!
While I can understand the dancing and physical abilities. I'm not sure I can understand how his silver tongue fits in. If hes uneducated he wouldn't do well in intelligent conversations, or ones that involved topics of higher learning. He may be good at kissing up and dishing out compliments, but he might not be able to keep pace with more complicated topics or higher logic activities. He would stand there spouting sweet nothings and still look the fool and maybe even tick some people off doing it.
That particular talent might need some rewording, or just show the pro and con side of his natural talents of persuasion and sweet talk! I think after that it could fit what your going for!
I love the idea of him being ignorant, and his selective memory also seems to fit him well! -purrs- Him and Moirai should meet, they'd make fast friends.
I like everything else about him, and his traits seem to fit his history well. The only things that might clash are his mellowness and his impatience. His mellowness seems more neutral then positive since he does at some point loose his temper over some things. His impatience and need to have things instantly at his disposal would seem to add to him having more of a temper than less of one, or maybe at least throwing hissy fits occasionally?
Maybe in his mellowness show which circumstances might provoke his temper, and what might cause him to have a violent reaction?
Otherwise, good job!

Otherwise, good job! Hmmm. I see what you're saying about the silver-tongued thing. Perhaps I'll change it to sweet talker or something of the like. Mostly what I wanted to get across was that he has a way with people in order to keep on their good sides. And yes it is a bit clashy to be mellow and impatient but people can have contradictory sides to them and still be believable. Suri's the type that, rather than getting mad when he gets impatient about something he just gets a bit dejected. You know the type, sighing, moping, etc. And everyone loses their temper at some point. It'd be more odd of him to never have anything to trigger it. But I classify him as mellow because he has very few temper triggers and those triggers are on the extreme ends (i.e. he wouldn't lose his temper if you broke something of his but he'd lose it if say, you burned down his apartment). I'll see if I can clarify a few of those points and reword some things though! Thanks!

Ahh! -purrs around- I get it now, when you explain it like that it does make more sense -nods- Luls, I'm no official person so what I say doesn't really matter that much. Still I'd love knowing some of his triggers, and if he has so few that would indeed make him a mellow person! -nods- Luff it! Can't wait till we can play together.

1. Mellow vs Needy Contradictions, you need to pick between one or the other. I would actually encourage you to consider the term "Lonely" as opposed to needy as he can still crave the company and feel entitled to it without being as clingy/vocal about it etc.
2. Mellow vs Impulsive Same criticism above applies. The definition of mellow is "Relaxed, unhurried and easy-going" or alternatively, "Gentleness, wisdom and tolerance characterised by maturity." Consider this definition and then look more closely at your desire to place an element of impatience and neediness with them, you'll find they don't fit.
2. Passive/Submissive Submissive = Humble and obedient Passive = Uninclined to participate actively
Neither of these match up to his more sociable nature, particularly when you take into account that he will intervene if necessary. "Permissive" would be a more appropriate word in the given circumstances, particularly when associated with the more 'mellow' aspects of his personality as a permissive individual isn't bound by obedience so much as tolerance.
PERSONALITY - Conclusion He's certainly a social butterfly but you have traits that simply don't add up or compliment one another. You'll need to skim through these and consider which are vital to his personality and which can be tweaked. At present it's not believable as a character as one moment he's mellow/easy-going and the next he's demanding attention. Short of being unpredictable and emotional (none of which would suit the definition of 'mellow') there are very few people in the world with that level of emotional yo-yoing.
However, pulling out the neediness and lack of patience, he's sounding really good, his personality just needs tweaked slightly.
Physical Weaknesses vs Physical Strengths: More of a piece of food for thought rather than critique - would you not consider Suri's dancing to be very dangerous for him based on the fact that he suffers from hemophilia? As an individual who bruises easily and bleeds profusely, the potential for major injury is quite high for him. Does he keep this in mind while training, or is he blind to the risk?
History: Will look at this after you've revised the personality for me. I've already loaded you with enough critique to be getting on with. =)

History: Will look at this after you've revised the personality for me. I've already loaded you with enough critique to be getting on with. =) 1) Honestly I'm not sure how you find it impossible for someone to be both mellow and needy. Since when does someone being clingy mean they're not mellow? My stepsister's daughter was a very mellow toddler, however she always clung to her mom and was very much needy of her attention. Yes she'd get worked up when she didn't get it, but overall she was a very mellow child as she didn't have much else that she got worked up about. Needy is there as a weakness BECAUSE it's in direct contrast to the strength of Mellow. It's the c***k in his armor, so to speak. It's a weakness because it overpowers a strength of his. If it didn't it would be a shitty weakness. Edit: But I guess even-tempered fits better so there you have it. My above opinion still stands though. 2) And if the same criticism applies then again, I'm not seeing it. I really don't understand the pressing need for strengths and weaknesses to be completely unrelated to one another. Edit: After talking with Vit I changed it to Self-Indulgent. 3) This one I will concede to. Permissive is indeed a much better term. Thank you for that. And yes, his dancing can be dangerous and he does know this as he has injured himself quite bad dancing before so he's acutely aware of the risks. He practices so much more than most because he knows that a careless slip up for him has the potential to render him incapable of dancing. He actually prefers solo dance routine to group ones because of this reason, less risk when it's just himself.

The problem is that he isn't just needy in terms of attention, he's demanding in other respects as well. Taking that into consideration he does not read well as 'mellow'. You can sit and argue with me about this all day but the fact of the matter is that it doesn't flow correctly to me from a personal standpoint and with that in mind, a number of others agree with me too.
You can reserve the right to reject my critique if you so wish, but it still remains valid and if others agree with me then you're going to find it difficult to get your quest approved. Try to keep that in mind.
To make it easier for you I'll defer to Vittles who has ultimate approval on this one, if she overrules me then so be it.

Yanno Sol, maybe if the even tempered/mellowness is what's mucking the whole thing up scrap it and try something else in its place?
How your describing his mellowness, it also is very similar to 'Tolerance' Someone who is slow to anger is tolerant...You can show how he doesn't have a temper without making him a 'go-with-the-flow' kind of individual. Those kinds of people tend to lack passion, and other things that your lovely boy clearly has with his love of dancing despite knowing he could hurt himself doing it~
Also the problem is that if he is self indulgent, and willfully squishing his patience so that he can have his wants and his needs fulfilled, chances are he wont always want to go with the flow. 'Go-with-the-flow' people are also probably not likely to ever take on a leadership position. Even if the option were open and presented to them, they're more followers than leaders.
Other positive things that might fit him well..are like..Persistent, Persevering, Ambitious, Vivacious, Versatile? I see that you changed the title to 'Even tempered', but the description still feels off.
